Fred, I just read that story about Miss Leigh also. Apparently she could be "difficult" to work with  ;)

If she was that upset during LITTLE ME, I wonder how she reacted when Comden and Green and Styne were brought in to jazz up PETER PAN.

I've never seen a full episode of Lost.  Last year I tried to catch season one in repeats but I only saw half of episode one before my attention was called elsewhere.  I think this summer I may try to watch the whole series.

I am glad to see that Jose & Jason are doing well.  We do miss them terribly.  I hope to see Jose on Sunday.  I am afraid it may be a somber meeting though since its the last show

I also watched parts of IDOL.

The show was okay. BUt I hate how they announce the winner at 9:58pm. My actual favorite part of the results show is hearing the final song and seeing everyone's reactions. ANd they always have to cut that part out.

The result was not surprising. But I wasn't particularly happy. I did like Taylor in the auditions. But to me he's just okay. I think it will be interesting to see what happens to him next.

To me, the most touching part of the show (surprisingly) was when Clay Aiken came out (boy does he look different).  They had this "bad" singer impersonator who had auditioned (saying he was like clay aiken) come out (to accept some dumb award). Then they had him sing (which was bad on every level). But then clay surprised him and did the duet WITH him. Well the kid was hysterical. BUt it was touching and sweet. And clay sounded great (and again, looked SO different).

I don't think Jose is capable of having a somber meeting!

LOL I thought you were going to ask her if the wheels on the bus go round and round!

I don't know about that, but I understand that the people on the bus go up and down.

Rodzinski and I only have a temporary reprieve from family visits.  Next week my brother and his family are coming to NYC for the first time.  My sister in law was raised here until she was 16 and has family in the area so they are not staying with us.  But we have volunteered to entertain my niece and nephew (16 & 18 yrs) and have them over for one night so that their parents can enjoy a night out on the town.  My brother is about 12 years old than me and we grew up in different states so I don't get to see him very often.  It will be Rodzinski's first time meeting all of them.

TPunk, did you get your MY BROTHER NIKHIL dvd? I think you will enjoy it and it might be of interest to your GMHC work.

Vixmom, I agree, your meeting with Jose will not be somber. I don't think he's sad about the show closing. He has projects lined up and will move on easily from Lestat.

Jason will be assisting a photographer doing things with Photoshop. He will be at live events, such as the Oscars and other Red Carpet events. His photo buddy will be taking pictures and as they are sent to the laptop Jason will primp and prime them and get them up on-line as soon as possible. It all sounds like great fun.

Good morning!

Gorgeous day here but didn't cool off much last night and it's already in the 70s with hotter temps to come by afternoon. We may get some rain, but for now, blue skies prevail.

Thursday morning greetings!  At noon today, I will be leaving work to attend a program in Cincinnati about the Millennial Generation.

I was glad to log on this morning and get good news updates about DR's TCB, Jose, and Jason.

I am looking forward to seeing CLay Aiken's performance. It was during the second hour of the show, and I was intently watching LOST except at commercials, I'd flip over just to see who was on. I caught Dionne Warwick and Prince for a bit during those commercials.

I think it's telling that even these accomplished performers like Dionne Warwick, Mary J. Blige, and Al Jarreau had a hard time staying on pitch during their songs. (Blige was particularly off at the start, clearly a note under pitch.) True, the noise the fans were making was deafening, but it gives one pause to think how well most of the IDOL contestants stayed ON pitch this season.

Let me see if I've got this straight - you told Jason how much he's missed but you don't know if that's enough to get him back posting?  Why?  Did something hideous happen to him here - or were all those good vibes he asked for too much for him?  Sorry, I'm just not "getting" it.

As to dear reader Jose - well, I do hope he returns, but then again I'm not sure why he stopped.  We're ALL busy little beavers around here.

DR Vixmom - Is Lestat a family date, or are you going by yourself?  We must have photos, you know.

TPUNK, MY BROTHER NIKHIL is a Bollywood movie that came out last year...it is about a swimming champion who contracts HIV and has to tell his parents about that as well as the fact that he is gay. It spans 10 years in the young man's life.

It is one of the two first HIV related Bollywood movies. If you like it and are interested in the second one, MADHOSHI (a remake of PHILIDELPHIA ,but with a woman in the Tom Hanks role) then let me know.
