That's why I put "alternate" in quotes.  I was being kind to the judges.  :)  :)  :)

The lightning is bad enough that I've had to turn off the TV, though I don't know what difference it makes since it's still plugged into the wall and has the cable line going into it.  Sparks still could fly.

Well... I'm watching another competition... "So You Think You Can Dance?"...  And I have to say the judges are being brutal this year.... honest, but brutal.

I saw that on the teaser last week and decided just to skip the whole thing!

Oh, my, when I logged in we were on page 8, our DS walked in the door and we had some family time, and by the time I got back here it's page 10.  I missed a lot.

What's this from.  I think it's from some sitcom but I don't rememeber which one.

Little kid:  "I wanna play a game!"

"OK!  OK!  I'm thinking of an odd number between 4 and 6!"

Little kid:  "Five?"

"Great, you win.  Now go home."

Congrats on 2300, DR FJL.  I thought that was on ROSEANNE, but I might be wrong.

There are milestones and millstones

And touchstones
And such stones as them.

Storm is still a'ragin' outside.  Lightning and thunder is terrible.  I tried running to my governess's bedroom, but she just puffed on her cigerette and said, "Beat it, kid!" and continued leafing through her copy of CONFIDENTIAL.  The half-empty glass of vodka on her bedstand told me I better do as she says.
