I gave in to the pizza urge and had two slices - one cheese, one pepperoni - from Wolgang Puck.  I must say, a bit disappointing, but now I have it out of my system.  I can't imagine two slices would be over a 1000 calories, so I'm fine and quite full, plus I ran really briskly today.  I also found a pair of running shoes in my closet that I think I've only worn twice.

I also went to Tumi and bought a new wallet - same one I had before.

Including Kevin.  If he waits much longer he won't be able to watch the video here.

Off to dinner, and then to see the final performance of PAJAMA GAME, where I'm sitting so far to the side that I'm thinking someone will have to tell me what's going on onstage.  Well, at least I'll hear the final perf of PAJAMA GAME.  :)

Yep, I finally got a VCR/DVD recorder with a hard drive just to simplfy my equipment stack. The separate VCR still works fine and will be used in case of equipment emergencies, but a stand alone VCR is pretty much passe now at least in electronics stores.

I watched HELLO, DOLLY! this afternoon. Well, I got to the middle of the "Hello, Dolly" number before I made some phone calls and cleared up lunch dishes.

Will finish it when I go back to the den. Next will come THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH which is the one DVD from that Marilyn Monroe boxed set that I haven't watched. I've just seen this movie so many times that I had put off watching the DVD, but I think it's time for it now. I'd like something light and fun tonight.

"Empire Of The Son".  I wanted to put the kid out of his misery. Can't remember his acting, I just loathed the film so much.

Of course I didn't think much of E.T. either.

It may say more about me than the films.. LOL.

But then I thought Haley Joel Osment was wonderful in the Sixth Sense, "A.I." and "Pay It Forward",

I even liked Helen Hunt's performance  in "Pay It Forward". Much better than "As Good As It Gets" in which she was IMHO very much her TV persona.

I was planning to drive up to Portland this afternoon to see the new John Abraham Bollywood movie WATER, but have been too tired today to do a lot of driving around. So instead I am flopped on the couch like so much fish watching Alan Steel in HERCULES AND THE MASKED RIDER wherein Hercules somehow or other is in the days of the Three Musketeers??!!

Well it is fun anyhow, although I suspect a nap will be happening for me quite soon.

I can't see how that would puzzle you at all, DR MBarnum! ;)

I am now off to see the Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon.  The state of my allergies makes me want to stay in, but I have no other option.  I do look forward to seeing what my friends wrote.

I would rather be tied to a chair and forced to watch EVITA (even with Patti Lupone), over and over again; than have to sit through one showing of THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH.  That movie makes my skin crawl.

Ah yes, that is horse racing!

This evening, my friends are coming down from the north to drive me out to dinner.  It will be a nice change to get away from the house, and they have a huge car, which will make it easier to get in and out.

This has been a bad week for me.  My incision has become quite infected, and the pain makes it impossible to even roll over on to my left side.  Naturally, I always sleep on my left side.

I can't believe that everyone from this board is busy watching the Stanley Cup.  In fact, I can't believe that anyone from this board (with the exception of our Canadian friends) is watching the Stanley Cup.

I've mentioned the films over the past few weeks but I've now seen Richard Lester's "It's Trad Dad", "Just For Fun" and "The Knack and How to Get It".

I've enjoyed the three of them but still do not see what is so wonderful about "A Hard Day's Night" which I find laboured. I think the film score is terrific and is certainly has some of the best melodies written by Lennon and McCartney..

Horses and courses indeed.

I did my part today, watching the United States play their match in the World Cup.  I still find soccer boring, but I did watch the whole game.

Too many incisive comments have been made DR TCB.

Well, actually, I kept switching back and forth between the World Cup and the Mariners game against the San Francisco Giants.  Thank God, I understand baseball.

Hmm... I guess the editorial staff is off on the weekends over at Playbill.com... This morning's main headline (at least of 12:57pm here in NYC):

Bight Lights, Big City Gets Another Chance to Shine With Revised Mounting in Philly

Proofreader?

I'll have to make fun of somebody about that!

No offense BUT Mr Molina in Chocolat????

That has to be one of the most embarrassing parts to be played by an actor! And I was embarrassed for him!
I hope the pay was good!

Well, I was going to say Alfred Molina in Frida, but I figured I'd really get nailed for that  ;)

Speaking of not getting a movie, the other night I watched THE PRINCESS BRIDE for the first time.  Every actor I know can quote whole passages of the dialogue in that movie, but I had just never seen it.

Well............... it was cute and funny; but I can't imagine watching it again.
