We're still not sure whether we can make the trek to Vancouver, Washington to see the show, but if I go, I hope I can hook up with the HHW folks there.

Skip's show is called HERRINGBONE; it starred David Rounds at Playwrights Horizons way back in 1982, and was done in the 1990's by B.D. Wong in Philadelphia at what is now the Prince Music Theater, and by Joel Grey at Hartford Stage.    Info on the Vancouver, WA production is at

Jane, Netflix won't have Late Autumn as it's not available in the US.  They should have Late Spring, though, and that remains my favorite of the Ozu films.

I thought maybe Late Autumn was now your favorite.......Late Spring has worked its way to #23 on our NetFlix queue. :)

Otto is so cute!

SWW and Brucer - that large building to the right is the DAWGHOUSE??? Oh, my!

Elmore - glad your dad has improved and gets to come home. A hospital is no place for a sick person...

Okay, so here's the scoop: I was just north of Ventura when i got a call from the secretary - umm, make that Human Resources Specialist - the upshot of which is, thanks but no thanks. What a strong candidate, but a very competitive field of applicants - the most surprising thing of all was the enormous sense of RELIEF I felt - now, whassup with THAT??? Could have been the conversations I'd had with a former Artistic Director, as well as the bizarre early departure of his successor... but I did! I did feel enormously relieved. I KNOW I want a job. And dollars would be nice. So, onward!

Of course, this means that I can do my old show with Bruce's new songs this fall! Bruce, I guess I'm gonna lay the blame on YOU, buddy!

I just stretched my legs on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk for about half an hour, now I'm back in my squalid little motel room - but I've got wireless internet, haven't I?!?! Life is grand.

So, it's peruse the news, for awhile, to see if I can't scare up some competitive candidates in the "Apartments for My Nephew" search. Back later. Or maybe not... this dump has free HBO...

I’ve got a ton of stuff still to do.  I always think I’m organized but there is always more to do.

Tacoma folks, don’t forget I still need a time and place, along with directions, as where to meet you July 9th.

Me, too!  Since the three Tacoma people all live right next door to each other (or almost as close), they can decide where's best. :)
