Re DONNYBROOK, I really enjoyed the energy of "Sez I" but the score for me went downhill after that.  Loved the LP jacket for that, though.

We use paypal - it should take whatever card you use.  What browser are you using?

Still no Vinnie - my taking a drive is looking doubtful at this point, as the cloning of the backup drive takes a bit of time - probably a half-hour, and then we have to test everything to make sure everything works as it should - passwords, log-ons, all of it.

Good evening!

Quite a day for me with phone calls from friends and cooking meals and watching a varied selection of things. I wish the watching had been more appealing.

It says you don't have to have a Paypal account. I tried a Mastercard and a Visa.

I guess I am now officially out of the modern comedy loop, at least at the movies. I think of a film comedy like ADAM'S RIB for something sophisticated or THE GREAT RACE for something silly.

The 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN left me totally disspirited. I didn't find it funny. I felt totally out of it in so far as finding anyone appealing or interesting, and overall I felt I wasted close to two hours of my life. (ANother fault - a mindless movie like this is 116 minutes long? Outrageous!) And this made over $100 million at the box-office, was on several best 10 lists, and was give a three star review (out of four stars) by both local movie critics.

And there are talented actors in this: Steve Carell, Jane Lynch, Catherine Keener, Paul Rudd. But they didn't make me laugh here. At all.

Then, I watched THE EVIDENCE. The cable guide said it was a rerun, but as it began, I had no memory of it so I started watching. By the halfway point, I did remember that I had seen it and remembered how it ended.

I have this album - this cover is from EBAY.  I found it strangely unsettling when I was eleven.

The back features a photo of the Brothers IV in bathing trunks.  :P

So, I spent the last half hour watching two episodes of THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW Season 4 set. Finally, a show worth watching!

The first episode was the one where Rhoda fell in love with one of the owners of the department store where she works. Wonderful comedy and a heartbreaking story for Rhoda made for a memorable show.

The next one is one of the classics - the dinner party episode where Sue Ann prepared Veal Prince Orloff for Mary and her guests. I stopped it a little ways in because I want to be able to savor the entire episode tomorrow. What a great show!

I don't think you do have to have a paypal account.  Can someone help Dear Reader Laura?  I asked about the browser because some browsers are finicky about such things, for reasons I don't understand.

Now, I'm going to head for bed with the hope that I find some things to watch tomorrow (after I finish with that MARY TYLER MOORE disc) which won't seem like wastes of time.

(Should I just go ahead and delete TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE before I see a single frame of it?)

One of the best renditions of 50% is by Dorothy Loudon on My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies.

She actually sings two songs.
If Anyone Had Told Me which then goes onto 50%. She got the biggest round of applause that went on longer than any of the divas who performed that night.

Is the DVD of Kevin Spirtas the same as the cd or is it different?

Woolstock is a teeny tiny town of 204 people. Interesting they are trying to preserve his birthplace to help economic development
