Orders - we need orders.  I must figure out what I wish to eat.  I have a craving for pizza, so I might just get three slices and be done with it.  That's under 1000 calories, so it certainly works.

DR TCB - how are you feeling after your first days back at work?  Taking it easy today?

Please give my best to all the Hainsies/Kimlets who show up tomorrow!

Very tired.  I certainly will (but aren't you and Larry going to be there?).

Oh, I wish we were!  But we'll go see The Devil Wears Prada and think fondly of all of you.

My DH came home from his Anglican conference a few weeks ago with the delightful prospect that their 2008 conference will be in Victoria, BC, Canada.  I'm already starting to stockpile my vacation hours and do some preliminary reading toward planning a major Pacific Northwest trip around that event.  Richard has never been to Washington and Oregon and I haven't been since a conference in Seattle in 1984.  Haven't been to my birthplace, Portland, since 1959.  It's time...

Now heading down to watch THE FORTY YEAR OLD VIRGIN followed by THE EVIDENCE. (Hmmm.....should those two titles tie together in some way?)  :)

Then how do you explain George not getting his copy today?  George lives in Washington, which is just north of California.

I guess I am not special enough. ::)

Once Upon A Time

She Touched Me

Fifty Percent

I Won't Send Roses

Meadowlark (although I wish it wasn't such a long song)

How could I forget "Fifty Percent"??  I love this song!!  And about a shorter "Meadowlark," I have (in a box somewhere) a tape from the audience when Topol was in the show and "Meadowlark" is only two verses long...and different lyrics than what now exists.  I have to try and find that.

It sounds like Topol and I have the same attention span.

Those aren't different lyrics, George, they are in Hebrew!

Hasn't she been on an Alaskan cruise?  And won't she and Keith be at the gathering in Tacoma tomorrow?

It probably wonders who he is.... and true you are correct, Washington is north of CA....

Just teasin' George...

I think it boils down to how close you are to the main distribution centers...

If you were going to be here for lunch tomorrow, you could greet Jane AND Keith on their return from their Alaska cruise.

Wasn't there a song that went:

What's your name, little girl?

My name's Alaska

Alaska what, little girl?

Alask my mommy

Boys:  Lemme kiss ya.
Boys:  What's your name little girl?
Girls:  My name is Ida.
Boys:  Ida what little girl?
Girls:  I don't wanna

Girls:  My name's Alaska
Boys:  Alaska what little girl?
Girls:  I'll ask my mommy.

Hmm, some of Kurt Weill's forgotten lyrics.

My DH Richard has emailed from Merrillville, Indiana, where he is staying tonight on his way to Wisconsin.  He went to the local Greek festival for dinner and is communicating with me via our new MacBook and the wireless connection in his hotel.

Well...DRs ELMORE & CP - you will notice I only mentioned ONE song from the dismal DONNYBROOK! ... perhaps that was more for Susan Johnson's vocal than anything else....

And I must say, Whoop-Up, as lame as it is, is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, especially its Overture - it figures in one of the Kritzer books.

Vinnie hasn't come over yet - he and his ever-lovin' are seeing a movie and then coming here - I think their movie started around five-fifteen, so I'm hoping it will be soon as I'd like to get out of here and take a drive or something.

I had a chicken Caesar salad from Wolgang Puck at about four.  That leaves me a little room to have a little something later, should I feel like it.
