Good Morning!

I have a coaching to prepare for later today, so...  I guess that means I should clean my room.

;)

Clean your room?  Exactly what are you coaching?

Well, I dare say our mommy bird didn't just hatch one little baby bird, she had TRIPLETS!  They are so cute - she's out there feeding them now.

What kind of birds? And most birds have more than one baby at a time.

I can hear the baby woodpeckers in the cactus, but of course I can't see them. They are in a cavity.

sweet.... IT is always fun to watch that... When I worked at the museum in Grand Forks, there were birds who always nested in the light fixture and they hatched a brood in the early summer. It was fun to see them take their first tentative flights.

I think we can assume the birds are not turkey buzzards.

I never saw a turkey buzzard until I moved to Delaware.

Wonder if I will have another brilliant sunset like there was the other night. The sky was brightly painted with hues of blues, violets, pinks, orange and red... Incredible to see!

I hate Geico Insurance.

That is all.

Hmm...

DR MBarnum - I'm sorry you're having troubles with GEICO.  Well, I guess I'm sorry The Girl did not have more coverage.  I hope you're able to work something out that comes out more in your favor.

Personally, I've been with GEICO for almost 22 years, and I've always had wonderful experiences whenever I've had to deal with them.

Just like I've continued to have wonderful experience with the Ford Motor Company as "witnessed" through my 1993 Ford Escort Wagon which still gets anywhere between 35-40 miles per gallon.

Thank you, Geico.

Thank you, Ford.

Good Evening!

I'm back from a wonderful dinner with DR elmore and his friend, Betty.

And let it be publicly noted, that I was the one at the table who did not partake of the 2-for-1 frozen margarita special.

Another unusual collection of watched items tonight.

First up, I chose a STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION film, my favorite of the three that were produced (not counting GENERATIONS which was kind of a hybrid): INSURRECTION. I hadn't seen it in years and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Actually, that wasn't first up. I first watched the rest of the outtakes from the second disc in THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD set. But that was only about 10 minutes' worth of footage.

Then, I put in THE GODFATHER, PART II. I hadn't watched it (or any of the other films in the series) since the set first came out years ago, so it was nice seeing it again on the larger screen TV. Of course, due to its length, I only got 1/3 of the way in before I turned it off for network TV. I'll continue with it tomorrow.

Wrapped up the evening of viewing with CSI: NY. It was a rerun, but it was an episode I hadn't seen before (it was from the second season). There were two cases: death of a poker player by shotgun and the murder of a TV weathergirl by drowning in two inches of water. Both were pretty interesting cases.
