I'm back from seeing Little Women at the Village Theatre in Issaquah. Let me tell you that it truly is a "village" theatre. It has one aisle down the middle and two sections of seats that are six seats across. Next to the outside seats are walls to the outside of the building. It only has about 20 or so rows. It's very small and intimate. It was a perfect setting for the reading.
As for this version of Little Women...I loved it! It's absolutely delightful. There was a lot of humor throughout the show, it got serious without being maudlin. It didn't manipulate the emotions and wasn't overly dramatic. I think it's a better version that what ended up on Broadway (not that I've seen it, I only know that from the CD).
