Unfortunately we leave just before! DP Colin and I have already noticed that.  We leave for Canada on the Monday.

Jane - Is the Portland Mercury an actual newspaper?

If so, does it carry any wieght for theater matters?

FJL-I have no idea, never heard of the paper. ;D

We live at the very southern tip of Oregon, just before the California border.  When we visit our son in Portland we mostly shop & eat. :)

Thank you Jane.

I think Eydle Gorme has a hit song about blaming  the "Mela Noma"

The Portland Mercury
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Portland Mercury is an "alternative weekly" newspaper published in Portland, Oregon. It chronicles the ever-changing details of Portland's music scene, including interviews, commentaries, reviews, and concert dates, and also features the popular "I, anonymous" section, in which local readers can write in with their rants and raves about the people and things that piss them off the most. The articles have been notorious for being biased and opinionated, which has led to critics labelling the staff of The Mercury as elitists. It is similar in style to its sibling publication, Seattle, Washington's The Stranger.

Ben - Got your lovely card.

Is that a picture of Ant on the mocked-up sheet music?

Well, I'll be hornswoggled if we haven't had us an uncharacteristic Saturday frenzy.

I just had a bit to eat and will now try to watch at least two count them two DVDs.

Yes, Fred, it's Anthony. He replaced Ramon Navarro with that picture. He's very proud of the work on that piece. He has the original sheet music (he's a big RN fan) and thought it would be good exercise to try and replace the picture.

Tom, it's also called the Mildew Plaza. Friends from Minnesota who stayed there in the 80s would call it by that nickname.

Had a long day at the office but things progress. I am halfway through another file and will most likely finish it on Monday. If only others on our staff would pull their own weight as it relates to productivity. But, that's a rant and I won't go there. I will just think of the month away from the office after it is all over. And my lovely evening with Ginny and DH Richard (and any of the other Hainsies who might join us) on the evening of October 7th.

And I've just had my own mini-frenzy, not to be confused with a mini-fridge.

The page on the NYMF website for the LAST STARFIGHTER readings is still very much a work in prgress, but here's what it is so far.

Anthony, in spite of his mild cold, will be seeing a dance presentation tomorrow. A friend of his has choreographed a piece and wants Anthony to see it. I shall stay at home and relax. If it's a decent afternoon I may go out for a brisk walk but otherwise I have no plans.

Then on Wednesday Anthony will head out to Long Island for the Labor Day weekend (it's early I know). I will join him on Friday afternoon. We have a half-day at the office so I will arrive in Centereach around 1:30pm.

Speaking of Long Island, I hope all is well with Deb (VixMom). We haven't seen or heard from her since Sunday's delightful party at Fred and Skip's. Actually it's Toby and Dylan's (the Corgi dogs) place, they just let Fred and Skip live there  :D

Fosca and Magnus have already organised new tenants for a "short rental opportunity" in Sept/October.  We know who owns and runs this household.

Congrats on the 3000+ Posts, FJL!! ;D

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.
