Well, as someone must have said, a frenzy in need is a frenzy in deed.

So don't shave your legs for me
If you have kegs for me
Stay, little Ballantine, stay

My mom and sister left some time ago.  I got a load of laundry started and loaded a little bit of stuff into a box.  I'm pooped.  It's been a busy day and will be a busy week.

Back from dinner, show, and a dessert stop for pie.  Must now sit on my couch like so much fish for at least one hour.

I watched the Emmy's, not to bad and kudos to everyone who actually got it to end on time.  I really liked Conan's opening bits, both pre-taped and live.  Overall I thought he did a great job of hosting.  Dick Clark's appearance was nice.  The original Charlie's Angels tribute to Aaron Spelling was lovely.  And I enjoyed the bit with Bob Hope.  I hope that doesn't give anything away.

I haven't seen the Bob Hope bit, but I agree with you about everything else.  I really liked the Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart bit.  That was funny!

I also agree with whoever commented on Candice Bergen's dress. :P

Here are the lyrics to my favorite Keb Mo song of the night. It's a sweet song with very pleasant acoustic guitar.  The woman cheered like crazy for it

You don't need no fancy tricks
Painted eyes or glossy lips
I love you just the way you are
Hope you don't mind my beat up car

You don't need to change your dress
You don't need to change your shoes

Don't try to hide your natural looks
Forget about the cover let me read the book
Don't get me wrong I like them heels
But the way I feel is the way I feel

You don't need to change your dress
You don't need to change your shoes

Go ahead be wild and free
You don't have to shave your legs for me

Shave Yo' Legs~Keb' Mo'

The first thing that popped into my head was Billy Joel singing,
"I love you just the way you are."

In place of the Emmy's I watched THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS...not a bad movie...the BEAST certainly made a mess out of lower Manhattan.

When I saw this as a kid I always thought it was sort of slow...too much talk, talk, talk and I wanted more monster...but as an adult I appreciated the talky scenes a bit more, mainly because that Paul Christian was kind of nice to look.

...and the cast...the wardrobe lady must have had a grudge against poor Paula Raymond...I never saw such ugly clothes as what she wore in this movie!

I'm now going to watch "Reno 911" that I taped as I watched (but wasn't paying too much attention to) the Emmy Awards.

I'm just about to go to bed.  It's been a long day and I must get to work early.  I hope that I can. ;)
