Continues to be glorious here. It only got to 80, so it's not crushingly hot or humid, and if it has to be late summer, this is the kind of summer weather I can tolerate.

Had some interesting telephone conversations today, but also managed to watch a couple of things.

I started by finishing TO CATCH A THIEF. The latter half of the DVD looks better than the earlier scenes in ters of sharpness and grain. Seeing that masquerade ball, I can understand why Edith Head was so upset that her fancy dress ball gowns lost to the kimonos of LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING. That was something I remember her bitching about a lot.

Good Morning From OZ.

We saw a local non-professional production of "Beauty & The Beast" on Friday night.

It's a cute show and the company did a good job given their limited resourses. Unfortunately "the Beast" was a let down as you did not feel for him. I think you really need that Act One closing song to "Touch" the audience.

Last night's viewing was "Candide" which is such fun. DP Colin's choice as he had been listening to the "new" CD I"d been playing in the morning.
