Getting back to those turtle doves, one has only to apply some basic genetics to get the following:
If papa turtle dove and mama turtle dove have four eggs that hatch, the odds support that they should have one full-fledged turtle, one full-fledged dove, one turtle dove, and one dove turtle.
That's assuming that we're starting with one turtle dove of each sex.
On the other hand, if they're both male turtle doves, they'll either spend their time together watching football, or (alternatively) go shopping. Hopefully they'll be the alternative, because two male turtle doves watching football tend to get sloppy with the beer and pretzels. Two female turtle doves, on the other hand, will either go shopping or, alternatively, rebuild carborators together.
Tomorrow's three french hens are going to be in a lot of trouble if one of them has mono.
