Thank you RLP.  He's not replied to email contact either.
I'll use the "snail mail" approach.

Aha! Got it.  The song is "Toll" by Jeff Blumenkrantz, about a tolltaker who looks forward to the daily drive-through appearance of "the guy in the beanie in the blue Chevrolet."

Blame it on Diridon???

I'd just say So long, Diridon if it were causing so much trouble.

DR FJL - Dancing With the Stars has some nice terpsichorean turns this evening.

Emmitt's Mambo is the best I have seen....and Mario shakes his tail feather.

DR RLP - great news about the Astaire/Rogers....but all of my favorites of theirs (except one) were included in the first set.

CAREFREE and STORY OF VERNON & IRENE CASTLE just don't do it for me.

Is no one reading and/or finishing a book of short stories???  What a revoltin' development this is.

Dear Esteemed BK --

I finished "Adventures With My Father" 2 nights ago, and then re-read it once again.  On the surface, it could seem like a fairly light-hearted story;  but dear BK, I know you by now just well enough to put this piece and that piece together, and it really affected me emotionally - even more so than "Your Worst Nightmare."  Aside from all the snippets of your own earlier life, there were a lot of parallels to things that went on in my early life, and the end result was a very powerful read for me.

I'm kind of disturbed by a recurring theme or device that I've encountered in your writing more than once now, but that is only something to talk about in the face to face world.

I think that "How To Write A Dirty Book" goes so far beyond the expected themes and emotions of just a light-hearted "easy-read" book, that any who haven't read it yet, are in for a tremendous treat and surprise.

JRand - That reminds me of one of my favorite Georgia Engel lines from the MTM show:  "Is that dress new, Georgette?" "Pretty new, I bought it this afternoon."
