Which of course means it was either a song by Piaf or is from "Les Mis".

I'm sure it was not an entry by France in "Eurovision".

It was composed way before the creation of Eurovision Song Contest! Ah!

It's called "Minuit Chrétien" in its original version!

Don't they say "Les MiZ"?

Les Mis would sound too much like Les Girls! ;)

50% of the cats in Cillaliz' house are kookoo for bonita flakes.

50% of the cats in Edisaurus' house are kookoo for bonita flakes.

I have no cats in my house.

I have no bonita flakes.

Where is the justice?

You say the word and I will be happy to hook you up with at least 2 wonderful cats that need good homes, and all the bonita flakes you'd like. Just say the word.

Minuit chrétien

1847

Minuit !

For some reason today I keep getting notices sent to my e-mail everytime someone posts on HHW. I thought I had fixed my preferences so that it would stop...but then it  started again and it fills my e-mail box will many many many e-mails letting me know that someon has posted on HHW.

Every once in a blue moon this happens and I do not know why.

DR Sandra is watching a scary movie: the one where the nosy social worker took Big Bird away from his village and placed him in a foster nest. I have been afraid of social workers ever since.

I am safely ensconced at North Ogden Drive in West Hollywood.  I've just learned that there will be no bass player for tomorrow's rehearsal which is most unseemly in my book, but I didn't hire the players.  So, a lot of stuff that should be heard and judged will not be and I can do nothing more about it than express my disapproval.  How can you tell what the problems are when 20% of your band is missing?  The least the player could have done was send a sub.

All right; I've vented.  Now I have work to finish.

Glad you arrived safely, DR Elmore. I hope all your players are assembled tomorrow!

I've been having similar experiences here. I'm trying to cut a short film for TNT---something that should take 4 or 5 days but is being crammed into 2. Fed-Ex was supposed to deliver the film yesterday at 8:30AM. It didn't get here until the afternoon, then had to be transferred to tape and synched up with the sound. So I didn't even begin loading it until 10PM. But that was only half the battle.

They also shot black and white film, which was also supposed to arrive at 8:30AM. It got here this afternoon (they wouldn't let us go and pick it up from anywhere!) so I spent the day trying to edit with only half the shots I needed. So I am missing a preservation party that we paid $100 to go to and will also have to work tomorrow instead of being docents on the Xmas tour of homes. Damn you, Fed-Ex!

Back to work...

DR Elmore has no bass player

The bass player has no replacement

DR Elmore has no way of assessing sound without a bass player.

Where is the justice?

Oh, yes....Amy:  Thanks for the offer of the cats.  We have tons here in Oakland's SPCA when I'm truly ready to give my heart away again.

I'm truly feeling as though I'm "down" with something.  It's not pronounced yet, but all the symptoms seem engaged.

Sigh.

Hopefully, I can sleep it off.

Golly!  Looks like prime time is without "Ghost Whisperer" tonight...and in its place we get a new edition of "Ice Wars".

Sigh.

Now you see, Tom, what happens when your pc crashes.

It's the answer to the age-old question:  "If a PC crashes 'Down Under', does everyone stop posting?"

And the answer is "No," of course.

I have my share of sensitivities to allergens.

Lately, though, I've been craving a puppy.

"Craving" in the sense that I think I'd like one in my life...not craving in any craven sense.

Is anyone else concerned about George right now?

His last post said he was taking today off...that he was going to get some sleep and that some repair person was coming in to take care of the leaking pipe, etc.

And that was his LAST POST, thus far.

What on earth could possibly be going on in that condo?

Just when you wondered could Ron Pulliam possibly post another post, he posted this one.

But he's wearing himself out...is what he's doing.

Laws yes....M-O-O-N spells "wearing himself out."
