I watched three BONES episodes to begin my afternoon viewing.

The first involved two ongoing cases: the crash of a private plane and identification of those bodies but more interesting were the bones that the plane landed on which weren't a part of the passengers. That involves an entirely different murder which must be solved.

The second BONES episode was one of my favorites of the first season. Guest starring one of my favorite actors Adam Baldwin who plays an FBI cohort of Booth's, Temperance finds herself on a gangland hit list for identfying bones obviously belonging to a man who was hit by the Mafia. Very tense and surprising episode.

The third episode owed its inspiration to the movie NATIONAL TREASURE, a treasure hunt in the tunnels underneath DC to unearth valuables buried there during the Civil War. Not one of the better or more inspired episodes of the first season, but there was a fair amount of humor to compensate.

Then, I watched the first hour of the 1931 WATERLOO BRIDGE. Instead of Vivian Leigh in the 1940 version, we get Mae Clark playing the prostitute. Bette Davis has a small role as the leading man's concerned sister, and the whole show is directed by the legendary James Whale. It's a fairly early talkie, so the sound recording is hissy and tinny, but I'm finiding this "alternate" version of the story very interesting to watch.

Yes, yes, elmore's consistent insistances all weekend got me to cave in and start posting.

The pictures look amazing.  It's so awesome to see the show from a different perspective!

Happy Birthday Michael!

It was really, really, really nice to meet you this weekend.  I am glad you could catch the show - and of course, thank you for all of your wonderful comments about it.

We'll see if any of elmore's nagging will get my mom to start posting...

MBarnum, do you think the people who smiled at you thought you were somebody famous - or someone who should be famous?
