Holly irritated me on BROTHERS & SISTERS, too, but to keep Patricia Wettig on the show, I knew they'd have to come up with something. Her husband Ken Olin is one of the executive producers, so she wasn't going anywhere and was going to have to continue to be involved intimately with that family.

I don't like the character much either, especially last night.

Phone calls kept interrupting my viewing this afternoon, but I did get three shows watched.

I started with a poignant COLD CASE episode concerning the death of a rising country music star. Pretty easy to guess the killer even before the revelation, but the story was still moving and had a few surprises to offer. Enjoyed it.

Next up was last night's WITHOUT A TRACE. Dealing with the disappearance of a high school basketball star who disappeared after winning the big game, the story had some unusual turns to it that caught me off guard. Nice to see Connor Trineer from the old ENTERPRISE series guest starring as the basketball coach.

I finished my afternoon with last Thursday's SCRUBS, an okay effort detailing nurse Carla giving birth to her first child and the chaos that surrounded her on her special day. One or two good laughs, but the show has not gotten off to an outstanding start thus far this season.

I had thought that last night was the season finale of DEXTER, but I found out that actually the show doesn't end until next Sunday, so I didn't start with it this afternoon as I had planned. I should be able to get to it later tonight or tomorrow.

DR Charles Pogue, I ran into David Harewood just a few minutes ago and let him know that you had enjoyed him in the play. He was quite happy to hear that. He is in the US for the premier of a new movie that he is in and he is trying to get an agent in the States.

I will have to add some of his movies to my Netflix queue...besides being one heck of a good looking guy (my goodness but he must work out a lot!) he is really nice....oh, did I say he was good looking! Whew! LOL!

By the way, I am not in Salem yet. I checked out of the hotel earlier but my car is still parked in the underground garage and I got tired of walking around Hollywood...it is HOT (!) so I stopped back over to use the computer and now I shall drive away.

Haven't heard from my lunch date so I think I will just go ahead and drive around and find something tasty to eat...maybe swing by the beach...then head to the airport.

Have jogged, have packaged up a large number of CDs, have picked up mail - including a nice birthday present from dear reader Jeanne, and will shortly go to the post office to ship.

This life of leisure is too too.

I've just arisen from my nap, and now I am off to my chiropractor.

By the way:  I had a lot of fun watching the weekend "Thet Girl" marathon on TV Land.

The opening theme/montage (the one without the drearily thin choral vocal of the song) is one of the best ever from a TV show of that era, I think.

Very well-edited....beautifully scored....it's endearing and a time capsule for some of NYC (pre-WTC, too).

I'm here and caught up on todays posts!

How nice to see/read that DR Jane is having a good time.  I was a bit worried about you.

No more fires in the land down under!

Der B--I was the gal that felt so sorry for the fish my dad caught, I let them go when his back was turned.  Guess who didn't get to go fishing with him after that?

I'm still digging my way out of the email mess I now have.  Ugh.   Most are ads but I'm afraid I may miss someones email to me.

I really need to sit and play with my camera--take shots of the same thing at the same distance but with different settings so I can get a feel for it and what works.

Vibes Elmore. That work is too important to sit untouched again for any length of time.

DR George, do you have pictures of your play?

I took a few of us Indians, but that's all...so far.  I would like to get a few more before we end this weekend.  I'll see if I can remember to post one or two tonight.

Be afraid...be very afraid! ;)

Thanks for the birthday wishes, DR George!

We're back from our Christmas shopping errand in Cincinnati, dinner at Outback, and a visit with my mother-in-law.

DR Danise, this birthday has not been especially photo-worthy.  Pretty quiet and low-key.  Soon I'll be off with my basket of coffee cakes to put up for auction.  Purchase details at 11 (sooner, actually).
