Shipped all packages (including a nice, last-minute reorder from Footlight), have eaten a few pieces of See's Candy, and shall now shave and shower so I'm ready to go to judge the talent thing this evening at seven.

Picked up Scoop, the new Woody Allen film, which I hear is dreadful, but I do watch each new Allen film, ever-hopeful.

Thank you, DR Sandra!

When our son was practicing CPR, the head of the practice dummy popped off.  He was told that was not the desired effect.

Dylan is a little scavenger for dropped food when he's on the streets.  You'd think we never fed him.

When they said BRAIN FROM PLANET X has legs, I didn't think this was what they meant.

Okay, so maybe HE C.P.R.ed the living daylights out of the dummy.

...Why do we hear plaints about the "poor deer" and "gorgeous snow goose" and nary a word about the "suffering catfish"?

Because it's much more fun to say "Thuffering Thuccotash!"

Der Brucer and I made a raid on the store where I work, taking advantage of some of the sales and a 5% coupon I had in hand.  While there, we also took advantage of a 25%-off-for-employees price reduction on a bunch of DVDs, including the first three Batman films.

I really do like where I work.

I recieved an e-mail today, threatening to bitchslap me if I don't show up in Los Angeles to see Brain from Planet X.

Well, my work schedule doesn't allow me to make the trip cross-country.

And der Brucer is too cheap to pay for the airfare.

Neither of which are good reasons, they are just excuses.

So I guess I'm up for a bitchslapping, and hang my head in shame.

I sure would like to see an East Coast production, though!!!

No, really!!!

Please???

That number killed me.

and a graphic just for George...
Hey, I'm just as much a Doctor Who fan!!!  How else would I know that the graphic is a homage to the 140th story, Mark of the Rani, huh?  Strange, what you can find in a TARDIS!

It is time for me to get to fixin' dinner.

Steaks, with baked taters and iceberg wedge salad.

Nothing fancy, just good eatins.

Laters.

(I miss Jose.)

I'm watching Scoop - I always give Mr. Allen the benefit of the doubt, just as I did with Blake Edwards - but, I must say that Mr. Allen has made some of the most depressingly awful movies I've ever seen.

Whether that diet lasts through the day after tomorrow is another issue.

Thanks for adding this. I missed the deleted post and the follow up made no sense to me at all.  Since I have been home all day with a horrible headache and am a bit out of it, I figured I just didn't understand.

I'm glad I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I don't usually get headaches like this that last for days so I'm glad I can talk to her about it even though that isn't the reason I'm going in.
