It's a dreary, rainy day outside.  Inside, I'm planning on lighting a fire log and cozying up to something...a good, favorite old movie, perhaps.

I'm very tempted to prepare some egg nog.

Good morning!

Another day full of cool air and moderate December temperatures. Beautiful. I was out Christmas shopping this morning, and I had to take my heavy jacket off when I got out of the car at my first store. It was barely 10 a.m. and already too warm for a heavy jacket.

I have a lot of TV to catch up with today, so all these tantalizing DVDs which have come in will just have to wait their turns. The DVR needs clearing off as the #1 priority.

And there are new episodes of HOUSE and nip/tuck (the season finale) tonight, so there are new things to see!

Happy that your Kern project will stay alive long enough to get work done you wanted to achieve, DR Elmore. That's a relief for you, I'm sure.

I'm heading down now to get lunch started. I haven't had a bite to eat since yesterday's lunch. Auditions took so long, and it was so late when I got in that I didn't feel like fixing anything to eat.

All the tests were normal & I'm out of here!

While I'm a tad "clewless" about this, I'm glad the tests were normal.

Good news, DR Jane!  Does this complete your commitment to NIH?

Please give DR Jose a big hug from me and tell him how much we miss him here!

Good morning, all!  My, it's been such an interesting 24 hours and not much of what I had planned it to be.  I got to Toyland to learn the project was to be terminated on Dec 31.  Then, last night, around 6:30 pm EST, I had a long conversation with the head of the institute funding the project and I think the project will continue through publication of several scores.  This led to my spending several hours processing all this information and communicating with various people on the project.  I finally dragged myself into bed, sorted 10 days' worth of mail and passed out.

Congratulations!!  This is wonderful! ;D

But seriously, folks...the Internet has changed the world, in good ways and bad.  The good, of course, are all here at HHW!  Also good, I met my ex-boyfriend (and still very dear friend) over the Internet. :)

While surfing for porn???

 :o

 ;D

Actually, no. ;) I was living with my sister and niece at the time and the shared computer was in the living room.  There was not that much privacy. ::)

On Planet X we have no need for human interaction, we communicate with one another by typing on keyboards or leaving messages on personal wireless devices.

-Yoni, The brain from planet x

Oh, what a shame! Human interaction can be so satisfying! :)

TOD:

I love the internet ...from the ability to instantly research a subject to keeping in touch with people, it is indispensable.

As with anything in life it will have it's good and bad depending on how each person chooses to use it.

I love thae access to incredible information on the internet.  I loathe that it can be the greatest time-waster in the world and that I am one of those who can get sucked into wasting gobs of time on it.

I'm up, I'm up.  I'd awakened at about four-thirty, then I just lay there like so much fish for a couple of hours, then woke up at ten-thirty.  Now, I'm quite behind and must catch up.

Our PR person just sent the following quotes - I haven't personally seen The Tolucan review, but here's the quote, plus some reader reviews from the LA Times:

“The cast is absolutely GREAT!” - Jose Ruiz, ReviewPlays.com

“A polished production!  Escapist entertainment for all ages!”  - Beth Temkin, The Tolucan Times

“RAVE!  Saw this production a L.A. City College Saturday evening.  What a treat!  Was fun filled entertainment with innovative sets, terrific songs and dance numbers, and a delightful cast in a science fiction romp that had us laughing throughout!” - Sy Sussman, Los Angeles, CA, Los Angeles Times Online Reader Review

“RAVE!  DO NOT MISS THIS MUSICAL!  Broadway caliber, clever dialogue and lyrics, and beautiful voices.  Hysterically funny!  Like DAMN YANKEES on intergallactic steroids!” - Tracy G., Santa Monica, CA, Los Angeles Times Online Reader Review

“RAVE!  If you liked THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, you’ll love this play, the singing was extraordinary, the story delightfully silly.  It is the best cotton candy I’ve seen in  years.  You’ll walk out of the theater smiling!” - Mitchell E., Los Angeles, CA, Los Angles Times Online Reader Review

When you begin preparation for bringing the show to Broadway, howsabout a stop in San Francisco first?

What wonderful reviews BK!!!

Diana Darrin and Laurie Mitchell are still raving about it (by the way, Kevin was there favorite in the show, followed by Cason and the Brain, himself!)....Diana insists that Kevin looks just like Superman! LOL!

American Family is the station that shows 77 SUNSET STRIP, CHEYENNE, BRONCO, SURFSIDE 6, BOURBON STREET BEAT, etc.....this is just about the only channel I bother watching at all, other then TCM!!!  >:(  >:(  >:(   >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  :P  >:(  >:(  >:(  :'(

And congrats on the great reviews, BK!!

I have a HUGE pet peeve that's irritating me right now...why do doctors think it's ok to double and triple book and leave people waiting for over an hour before seeing them???  It's just so rude. I can't stand when that happens. What made it worse is Paul, who isn't working, thought it would be fun to go to the doctor at the same time I went. I've had an appointment for a couple weeks, at least.   Yesterday he talks them into booking him at the same time and they took him before me. So I had to wait even longer than I would have if he hadn't called in.  I wasn't pleased... On the bright side, I left with a prescription for muscle relaxants.

End of rant

The internet has helped me tremendously doing legal research and research on witnesses, forensic research, you name it.  I also find it easy to spend hours wasting time on the net and amazed at how much I can get done in a day when I don't immediately log on

I woke up this morning and my back was doing this weird muscle spasm thing and I was really groggy.  I am slowly feeling much better, which is a good thing as I have a big day tomorrow beginning at 8:00 AM
