Had a fun afternoon of viewing.

I began with last night's SMALLVILLE, the first mission of the Justice League of America. Lots of comic book-level fun, and I really enjoyed it.

The actor who is playing the Green Arrow (Jason Hartley) is actually the actor who was hired to play Aquaman in the CW pilot that wasn't picked up to be a series this year. How strange it must have been for him and Alan Ritchson (who's played Aquaman twice now on SMALLVILLE) to be featured in the same episode.

spoiler

I'm going to miss the Green Arrow now that his story arc has been concluded. I think he added a wonderful new dimension to the show with his presence during the first half of the season.

Next was a very funny MY NAME IS EARL with director John Waters doing a typically strange and very amusing cameo as a mortician.

THE OFFICE was funny, too, with salesman Andy driving everyone crazy (and Jim and Pam's revenge), Dwight working at Staples, and Oscar finally coming back to the office (though he had a brief cameo in the Christmas episode). Enjoyed the episode very much.

SCRUBS was lots of fun, too, with the cute little ditties written for the cast and fitting their personalities to a "t." I liked the GREASE parody very much, but all of it was beautifully done with the original music, choreography, and hilarious solo moments for each of the main players. Carla (Judy Reyes) surprised me by having a very souful voice.

I finshed the afternoon with the movie PHFFFT! I'd never seen this all the way through, but it came on TCM this morning, and I recorded it so I could watch the entire thing.

I don't think it can hold a candle to THE SOLID GOLD CADILLAC, THE MARRYING KIND, or IT SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOU, but it was still very entertaining, and it was nice seeing Jack Lemmon pairing so well once again with Judy Holliday.

Tonight, I'll have 30 ROCK and SUPERNATURAL (which I'd rather see when it's dark) to watch before MONK comes on.

3)  Vibes for my play's first run-through/designer's run!  There have been steps forward, steps backward, and steps in other sundried directions these past couple of weeks...so now we'll see just where we are at.  Yet, at this point, any good vibes would not be wasted - in fact, they would be very much appreciated!

On my iPod, I'm listening to Byrn Terfel's Tutto Mozart to accompany my reading of Jane Glover's Mozart's Women.  It's my book group selection for February.

DR Ginny, I've been meaning to talk to you about the Mozart book.  I think your group should watch on DVD a Mozart opera as well!

Yes, I am back from my day of incident!  My dad had a 7-inch needle inserted into his lungs though his back (ugh!), a lot of fluid was drained and he is now home with my brother, sister-in-law, and lady friend.  I just spoke to one and all.  We'll know more on Monday.  Please keep those vibes coming!

DR Miss Karen, I'm sorry I missed you this morning!  I had places to see and things to be!

Oh, and there are new episodes of MONK and PSYCH tonight, for those who are interested. I am.
I will definitely watch PSYCH!  No more new MONK episodes.  Ony series one and two!

For her birthday, I got TPunk and myself in to see Kathy Griffin at Carnegie Hall this evening, so I hope that is enjoyable.

I LOVE Kathy Griffin!  I'm so jealous!  I'm sure you'll have a great time! ;D

I'm wimping out on going to see Chenoweth at the Met tonight.   The cough is too annoying, and got worse because of going out into the cold last night, and I must must must work tomorrow.  I'm hoping Jose (and laso Julie) will provide detailed reports.

There's a label that specializes in underwear?

Perhaps she's a lounge-erie singer?

Now, as DRs FRANCOIS and JMK pointed out, the DVD entitled YOUR HOST, WALT DISNEY does indeed contain the Disneyland sequence of the Mouseketeers doing songs from a proposed version of "The Rainbow Road to Oz."

I am not certain that it would have been a success, and I didn't look quick enough to see who wrote the songs we saw - but the choreography, makeup, and costumes were cute(Bobby was the scarecrow and Sharon was the Patchwork Girl.  Annette was Ozma, the princess.

The finale song was the best - the title song with everyone in costume marching up a big cake and then down again.

I always thought Bobby would be perfect as Glinda!

Talk about mutant!  How about mutant vibes, DR ELmo.  Every time I see that you're logged on, I log on and you're gone.  Oh well, I'll leave you a post anyway cause as soon as I log out, you'll log back on.  Ahh, Haines Way Web Tag.  Anyway, good vibes, not mutant vibes to your dad -- and you  -- and your entire family.  I see you gave specifics for the CD and DVD, but a generic "cheap porn" for the VCR.  Title please (I want to see if we're watching the same one -- :o)

Trust me.  You're not!

What?! What a bummer.  No fanfare, no shout-outs of "Way to Go!," no confetti and streamers, no Jr. Member packet of instructions about the secret handshake, no BK Jr. decoder ring, no fuzzy "member" hat with antlers?!  I thought there'd be some celebration when you become a junior member...and after I've worked so hard today to push us toward page 7....Maybe, just maybe, my sparkling prize is in the mail...hmmmm?
