Being onstage would be fun Cillaliz!

That's what I finally decided. That and I will honestly be able to say I was on a Broadway stage during the performance of a Broadway show. NEVER thought I'd be able to say that

I also watched an episode of the 1950s western 26 MEN starring Tris Coffman and Kelo Henderson.

I have seen my share of really bad actors, but I swear Kelo must have been sleeping with someone...and he must have been REALLY good in bed...cause that guy couldn't act to save his life.

Of course now I am intrigued by him, totally.

OVERRATED FILMS:

This year, "Little Miss Sunshine" is a cute little film.  But that's just it.  CUTE.  Not great.  Not, IMO, Oscar-worthy in any sense, outside of performance or screenplay.

Certainly not for film or directing ... or any aesthetic technicals.

I agree with you, Ron. I feel that Sunshine had its moments, but overall just isn't a great film. Could it be that there are so many UNfunny comedies these days that people get all excited when there are a few laughs?

Cilla - where are you sitting for Curtains on March 1?  Audience left or audience right?  (If I can go that night, i may try for a seat on your side of the theater.)

I really loved having a studio and teaching the kids - did it for seven years.

Fond memories- NOT! For some reason my Mother decided I should get tap-dance lessons when I was five. Had to learn a number with a hat and cane done by Ted Lewis. I remember my Mother breaking a yardstick in frustration at my unwillingness to "brush, back, stamp" properly.

I know there are people who love that show, but parts of just make me cringe.

Big Voice or Last Session?

We went to a Last Session "thingy" in La Brea, CA before it went to NYC (it was freebie at Border's Book Store) - just Steve and his piano and a "crowd" of about 15.

I was a cringer at The Last Session, because all of the recording studio details were so bogus (unnecessarily so) that I couldn't take it seriously.

Good Afternoon!

I'm back from a lovely lunch with DR elmore.  And I also helped him out with a computer issue.  So, if you start wondering why he's not spending as much time here in HHW as he usually does, you can blame me.  For real.  ;)

DR elmore - Here's someone we were talking about earlier today.

It would appear from his photos that "tenor matinee idol " William Burden has gotten a bit chunky!

On Saturday I am going to see an art exibit at the Fowler museum at UCLA. It is titled  Dress Up Against AIDS: Condom Couture by Adriana Bertini. The artist designed dresses and outfits from factory rejected condoms. Sounds fun!

As for Spring Awakening... Their ticket sales have started to pick up nicely in the past couple of weeks.  And the stage seating is completely sold out for the next few months - they're only $31.50, so...  But they're doing great business on the weekends, and the weekdays aren't that bad either.  *And I have to think that Rosie O'Donnell's mention of it on "The View" has had to some effect on the ticket sales.

I just got the CD in the mail today!  After I listen to The View From Here, which I didn't listen to today, I'll listen to Spring Awakening.  I also received the new Broadway cast recording of A Chorus Line (completist, that I must be ::) I even have the German cast recording of ACL).
