Is Starbuck there?  ;D

If not, they're planning on one being there soon.

TOD:

Math...still don't get it and my brain freezes up at the mere mention of anything to do with numbers.

Learning a foreign language. I have tried Japanese, German, Spanish, and Hindi....it is fun to learn (or try to learn), but not easy...and it always irritates me when people insist that immigrants learn English, as if it is something they should learn overnight and feel comfortable speaking right away.

You have a hard enough time with English!

Hmmm...going back to one of last week's topics, I never understood the saying "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

What good is cold revenge?  Who would want to touch it?  I think revenge is best when toasty warm right out of the oven.

It's more effective when nobody expects it...like The Spanish Inquisition.

Find the picture, DR ELMORE....it would make a great photo for your MySpace page.

I looked at the photo this morning and totally missed the Elmore Ranch!  I guess I needed elmore coffee!

I had a Jon Gnagy art set.  I think you could put the plastic on the tv screen and use crayons on it!

Re every episode of Maury  being incredible:

Remember when Letterman suggested a parody show of THAT'S INCREDIBLE, called THAT'S KIND OF INTERESTING:

"Tonight's guest - a man who didn't like asparagus as a kid but now likes it."

Audience shouts:  "That's kind of interesting!"

I wrote a page-and-a-half - began chapter three and was able to at least use a tiny portion of what I'd written before.

BK, on your MySpace page for "The Brain" why haven't you replaced the piano demos with the recording tracks?  Also, I went to amazon.com to order a CD of "The Brain" and it isn't there!  Are they aware of the new CD?  I thought I'd order one to encourage them to carry a few. :)

Wow - this Maury is INCREDIBLE.  The exotic dancers who perform at Bachelor Parties are going to break their code of silence and tell what really happens!

Do you suppose they will lose their union cards?

Oh dear I worked for 10 years in Research & Statistics for the Indiana Dept of Labor and liked it very much.

I've done a lot of financial analysis and am fine with that now. Like so many things, it's a sort of mindset and once you get accustomed to it you're fine. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to UNlearn, then RElearn before the course ended.

We've had some excitement here in the library today and, for once, it didn't involve bodily fluids or calling 911.  No, the PBS series History Detectives had a crew here filming a segment.  It'll air sometime in the summer and has something to do with a film projector that was used in the briefings for JFK on the Cuban Missile Crisis.  And they were filming over in the area where I just put up the I [heart] BOOKS display, so maybe it'll be on TV!

Having worked on many documentary projects and community outreach projects as well (I live in a mostly immigrant neighborhood) I wish we could increase the "Jeanne pool"!

I hope they didn't run roughshod over the library and give the film community a bad name! Keep us posted so we can keep our eyes peeled for the display!

One of the reasons Experiment In Terror is still scary is Henry Mancini's creepy music.
