So we're hoping to have the nations first Potty day!  A super bowl of a different sort!

This actually made me go "Tee hee hee." I think I've been hanging out with too many three-year-olds.

Lord, I see little one-acts played out several times a week here at work and, sometimes, on the streets of Oakland.

Most involve little hissy fits...but they're high drama, nonetheless.

DR RON, I never thought about it that way.  I must keep this in mind. :)

Your comments are quite amusing.

Did I mention that the secretary who forgets things forgot to see if everyone was gone and locked the office and armed the alarm while I was still in my office working?  Luckily I figured she did that and sprinted down the hall and disarmed the alarm before it started going off.

WOO HOO!!! I got the call.  The office will be held until July for me with only a one month deposit.  They will paint, fix a couple ceiling tile and either clean or replace the carpet.  Thank you all for the vibes.

If you didn't guess, it's in the Orpheum building. They built the theater in the center of the building and surrounded it with office space.  It's a perfect space for me. 2 offices and a reception area. It's small, but the rent is too. I am so psyched

Congratulations, CILLALIZ! I'm quite happy for you.

The real relief won't come for a while, but having a place to go and a date I'm leaving makes it real and helps a lot.  Today I also found a mentor in immigration law who is very excited about helping me learn that practice.  He's in Omaha, where the nearest immigration service is located. It's an area of law that no one in Sioux City practices and there is a big need for it. It's something I really think I'll enjoy.

Congratulations!!! It all sounds very exciting :)

FOLLIES tickets are gone (to Ben and Ant) and the timing worked out great - as a birthday present for Ben.

The new and improved television listings in our Sunday newspaper do NOT list programming local OR cable after 11:30 pm.  So I don't know what films are showing after midnight on TCM.

This is an improvement?

If I understand well, there'll be -- at least!- 2 Bens that night in the theater: one on stage and one in the audience!

Am I smart or what?! (This is not a question!)

But... ah, Paree!

I watched LIZA WITH A 'Z' to get my evening started. I had most recently seen it when Showtime broadcast it last year and had burned a DVD-R of it then. This was the special DVD edition of it.

Like the HD version, because it was taken from a 16mm print, it looks grainy and soft, but it's the best it's ever going to look, and that's good enough. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I also had time to watch two special features on the DVD: the conversation with Liza at the Toronto Film Festival and the conversation between Liza and John Kander. Really enjoyed both of those bonuses.

MONK had its first good episode in a long time. Steven Weber guest starred as a shock jock accused of murdering his wife. The two men who are great friends off camera played together to great effect as he made a fool on Monk on the radio and then had to eat crow later.

Was that Brooke Shields as Weber's sister-in-law? If so, I didn't catch her name in the opening credits.

PSYCH had a delightful episode and a nifty mystery to solve as Shawn and Gus invaded the world of speed dating. Corbin Bernsen was delightful in the episode this week.

AND...

ALL ABOARD! For the third year in a row, row, row, Gavin CREEL is one of the featured performers onboard The RFamily Vacations, Rosie O’Donnell’s revolutionary Gay and Lesbian family cruise. This year, for the July 4th week, he takes to the seas with his full band to rock the boat! Stay tuned for possible video clips from the performances.

(I hope this Creel fellow appreciates what I'm doing for him!! LOL!)
