DR Ron Pulliam - Have you tried calling your phone from another phone, and when your voice mail kicks in, pushing the #-key or the *-key?  -Just to see what happens.  -Or maybe you have to call the woman who cuts your hair and ask her to call you back on your cell.  Maybe that will reset something.

CHICAGO on Blu-ray looked and sounded spectacular. Well, the musical numbers were spectacular in their sharpness and intense color (without the noise that often goes along with deeply saturated colors). And the lossless uncompressed soundtrack was splendid.

The scenes apart from musical numbers looked as drab and flat as they've always looked.

And speaking of CDs...

Do any DRs keep their CDs in binders/sleeves?  Take them out of the jewel cases?

-I'm wondering if I should go that route eventually.

I liked the episode in Season 1 before the closer with Jason O'Mara as the sassy accused killer Billy Croelick.  They should bring him back.

Me, too, and I wrote about it last night and extensively at other times. I'll bet I've watched it a dozen times on either TV or the DVD.

I remembered that DR Edisaurus liked the moment in the finale when Brenda told off everyone who was expecting an apology from her. Loved her for it! She was SO right!

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER had some funny sequences as the gang tries to get through the day after the Super Bowl avoiding any talk about the game so they can watch it together on Tivo.

This show has improved one hundred percent from last season.

THE CLASS had some funny moments, too, as one of the cast tried to cook an exotic dish for a dinner party. I doubt the show will get another season on the air, but it's a shame since it seems to be finding its way now that some of the depressing relationship problems are starting to sort themselves out.

But at least it's warm.

Well, too warm actually.

And since I've cracked one of my bedroom windows open in order to cool the room down a bit - yes, it's that warm even with the low temps outsdie - any time walks by smoking a cigarette or ends up smoking by the front door... :-\

'24' featured one startling revelation after another - one that I anticipated from a clue early in the hour and the other a complete and total surprise. And next week, we get two hours of the show.

And speaking of surprises, HEROES was loaded with them, too, though I have to admit I was kind of expecting Clair's father to turn out to be who it was.

The Peter story continues to be intriguing and exciting (really love him as a character). Once again, Niki/Jessica just didn't interest me at all.

(spoiler)

I read in an interview that at least one (maybe more) of the main characters is going to die before the end of the season. I'm PRAYING that it's Niki/Jessica.

One of my friends started doing that about ten years ago when he got his CD jukebox stereo thingy.  He kept the CDs in the jukebox (it held about 150) and the covers went into a binder that had code numbers so you knew what to punch into the remote to play the desired disc.

Now he stores all his music as mp3 files on a PC that's specially designated as his music center.  I have no idea where he stores the actual CDs.

Alas, there are still four big boxes of music under the bed, and they may have to stay there.  We'll see.

You and George can swap tales about The Box Beneath My Bed.

Edi - Did the tickets ever get to you?

Just arrived in Marietta---and so did the tickets! Thanks so much...I am very excited. I'm thinking of taking my mom instead of Greg, because she loved going to shows so much. Can't wait, and will report back!

A lot of people liked him and would like to see his return. It wouldn't surprise me if he turned up in a future episode, not that I've heard anything to that effect... He was very charismatic and handsome.

And there are parts of that final episode when the squad comes together in support of her that bring me to tears.

It's too cold to take a shower.

But it's going to be even colder tomorrow morning. Still, I can't bear to think of getting out of the shower in my cold house right now.

I forgot to mention that when I went to the funeral, I saw several women I knew who attend church there. They are in a Shakespeare reading group that grew out of the congregation---all women. The group has been meeting continuously for 75 years. (Not with the same members, of course.)

T3's widow is a member of the group. I thought that was a very cool thing...almost makes me want to join their church.

That's one of the things I don't think I could deal with in NY on a regular basis---the stifling heat in the buildings and the knocking radiators that go with it. Having to keep the window open in 20 degree weather goes against my fuel-conservative nature.
