I am reminded of poor Connie Francis:

Stupid Cupid you're a real mean guy
I'd like to clip your wings so you can't fly
I'm in love and it's a crying shame
And I know that you're the one to blame
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me

I can't do my homework and I can't think straight
I meet him every morning bout half past eight
I'm acting like a lovesick fool
You've even got me carrying his books to school
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me

You messed me up for good right from the very start
Hey go play Robin Hood
With somebody else's heart

You got me jumping like a crazy clown
And I don't feature what your putting down
Since I kissed his loving lips of wine
The thing that bothers me is that I like it fine
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me

You got me jumping like a crazy clown
And I don't feature what your putting down
Since I kissed his loving lips of wine
The thing that bothers me is that I like it fine
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
(Stupid Cupid)
(Stupid Cupid)

I'd like to know exactly what it is we're looking at...other than some guy picking away at a huge mound of snow underneath a sign.

Speaking of snow we are expecting a lot of it overnight and tomorrow all day and night.  It doesn't look too good for people who have reservations for Valentine's day.

At first I thought it might be the start of a snow sculpture.

PLEASE, der BRUCER, DO NOT tell me! I've never even had my ears pierced!

Frankly, my Dear, neither have I. I did have a housemate once who had uncountable piercings and insisted on washing the car in our driveway (in a somewhat NASCAR neighborhood) stripped to the waist.

I am anxious to see the Hollywood part of the American Idol auditions. But i believe there are only 2 shows and that bugs me. We have to endure weeks and weeks of bad auditions. And then we will probably not even get to really see most of the good people.

I personally would like to see each performance in each elimination round in hollywood. I'm surprised they don't do this.

The 911 tapes said "she isn't breathing".

Wouldn't one deep breath last a day?

Well, it looks like some of the shows DR Jose worked on in D.C. this past year have been honored with several Helen Hayes nominations

Miss Lauren Rubin has come and gone and am now awaiting Mr. Kevin Spirtas, who is quite late.  But these WILL go out today, with or without his signature.

We must hear details of the interview, DR MBARNUM.  She was very mysterious in GOKE....  Well everyone was.  But she certainly stood out in the crowd.

I'm working on a project that must be finished by Friday, hence my lack of posting. It doesn't mean I'm not thinking about all you people out there in the dark.

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from New York City!

The flight back from Memphis was very nice, and I got on the earlier flight with no problem - it was only about half full - probably less.  And since my seat assignment was done at the gate, I was treated to my own row - and a bulkhead seat no less!  Very roomy.  The flight got in about 20 minutes early, and to top the whole travel experience off today, my bag was the first one on the belt at baggage claim.

DR MATTH,
Thank you for your comments last night about Gale Storm. I'm sure HHW has had many, many interesting discussions that I've missed!

When I've mentioned OH, SUSANNA! to others in the past no one remembered the show. Obviously, I wasn't talking to H/K's.

...And I just scanned the Helen Hayes nominations over at Playbill.com.  Arena Stage did very nicely in the Outstanding Resident Musical categories.  Some of the nominations I was very happy to see.  Some I was surprised to see.  And there's one or two that I was definitely surprised to see.  We shall see what happens on April 16 at the ceremony.  Hmm... Now I'm wondering if I should go this year.  Hmm...

*I do have to wonder about the costume nomination for Three Mo' Divas since most of the costumes were basically black, formal concert dresses.  ???
