Good Afternoon!

Greetings from New York City!

The flight back from Memphis was very nice, and I got on the earlier flight with no problem - it was only about half full - probably less.  And since my seat assignment was done at the gate, I was treated to my own row - and a bulkhead seat no less!  Very roomy.  The flight got in about 20 minutes early, and to top the whole travel experience off today, my bag was the first one on the belt at baggage claim.

:)

Glad you got back to NY with so little effort and fuss.

Well, I need to run some errands right now, and then I plan to come back here and unpack and veg for the rest of the day.  And with the wintry weather coming in tonight, and "American Idol", it definitely sounds like a good night to stay in.

...hope you're well-stocked, Jose....you might get socked-in, and I know you probably don't have snow shoes.

DR Jose, I'm happy you're back in one piece!  Is there snow in Manhattan?

I need help from any DR who may have the cast albums of BOY FROM OZ and LES MIS and who can burn something for me!

When do you need it/them?  I have all my CDs in my living room now.  I have both recordings of Boy from Oz and several versions of Les Miz.

There is no snow here in NYC yet but we are supposed to get snow mixed with rain beginning late in the evening (after 9pm).

It's not terrible here weather-wise. It's cold (it's February remember) but we are not suffering. I do hope the weather news is hype and not truth. If it is, oh, well. I've been in worse. Growing up in Minnesota makes you think that way.

I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I am not suffering, either.   ;D

I'm wearing a pair of blue jeans with a black web belt, a polo-type pull-over shirt of blue with white, red and black stripes, a pair of K-Mart black fabric tennis type shoes, white sweat socks and underneath it all, nice clean underwear in case I get struck by a car on my way home this afternoon. In the rear pockets of my blue jeans are (left) a freshly ironed handkerchief and (right) a comb. I have my wallet in my right front pocket and my keys in my left front pocket.

On that complete note, I will take leave and return to my Country Code Project.

LOL DR BEN.

I will defer to DR GEORGE, the man with ALL of the requested CD's.   ;D

Glad you made it home DR JOSE.  And yes this is astrologically a very lucky day for MOST people, and especially for those of the Virgo persuasion.  8)

DR MUSIC GUY - the pictures have been lovely.  It will be awhile now before we see any such similar splendor here.

I've been trying to come up with a Valentine's gift for the DP that wasn't the normal flowers, candy, etc.  I ended up ordering a 1lb Fortune Cookie dipped in dark chocolate and covered in english toffee.  I created two fortunes, one was kind boring, but this the other was really cute:

"He who travels from the east to meet people from the west will bring love and fortune to the west and bring it back to the east"

I hope the snow isn't too bad tonight.  Skip and some friends are seeing Coast of Utopia, Part 3, tonight, and if the snow is already bad, he'll have to walk from Lincoln Center back home due to lack of cabs.   Or at least walk from the subway, if that's how they decide to go.

Signed copies are packaged and ready to ship.  I'll go to the post office in an hour or so.  Haven't done any writing today - skammen.  I will, though, very soon.

Good to know Jose is back where he belongs.

Warm hugs for those in cold climates.

Song running through my head today  is "Dear Love (Will you be my Valentine)". I first heard the song on a Robert Goulet album.  Years later I discovered is "A Quiet Thing" which is Flora's real gem.

How tempting to mention safe sex on the Subway.  But I have too much sense of decorum.

I do not even want to hear this story. TMI. :o

Well, that make one for and two against--sorry, DR Elmore.

When I've mentioned OH, SUSANNA! to others in the past no one remembered the show. Obviously, I wasn't talking to H/K's.

That's for sure! And for one season, Jeannie Carson's delightful comedy "HEY, JEANNIE" preceded OH, SUSANNA!

Ya know, I think if we all work together, we can convince DR Cason to dress up as cupid again this year.

You're still glowin', you're still crowin', you're still...

...goin' strong!

I feel the room....swayin'....

Oops. Another minor quake.  Damned San Andreas fault!

I got a used copy of the second season of LAW & ORDER: CI in the mail today. I paid less than $10 for the five disc set which I think was quite a steal.

Shame on NBC/Universal for packaging these "shot in high def" shows in the old TV 4:3 ratio editions. (Widescreen editions in anamorphic video could have been done.)
