Well, the cupid underwear did leave me speechless!

Continuing...

Favorite Audition #1:

The last audition of the conference.  And not just because it was the last audition.  One of the women who was coming from out of town was delayed due to a flight cancellation.  Well, she happened to make it in just in time to get lined up with the final group of the day/conference.  Throughout the day, we had been getting updates on her pending arrival, and we all hoped that she would make it in.  She's sort of well-known in the regional circuit, and she's well-loved.  And crazy.  But in a good way.  Well, she made it!  Whew!

...And then after a very funny song parody, and semi-monologue-stand-up-routine about her travel woes earlier in the day, she finished her audition.  And we applauded...

And then as she walked back to the piano, she tripped on the stage and fell...

"I'm OK.   I'm OK....  So... What time does the dance call begin?"

More laughter.  More applause.

:)

(Stupid Cupid)
(Stupid Cupid)

Sounds like the greeting that would be found in a Valentine's card sent out by Zubrick:
"Stupid, stupid, stupid Cupid"

Speaking of Zubrick, I arrived home last night to find my "The Brain from Planet X" CD had been delivered... I love, love it, love it!

...that guy playing Zubrick is awesome!!

Thank you, all, for the offers!  I grabbed the first offer that I saw, which was DR Matthew's.  I do appreciate how quickly everyone jumped to my aid.

I foolishly forgot to pack up the LES MIZ and I called DR Ginny a while ago to see if she could get them from her library, but, with the weather, I don't know how soon I'll be seeing her.   I have to admit this was a nice way to get myself out of my Kubler-Ross persona of deathwatch reporter.

Back from a plethora of errands.  No real mail today.  Everything is shipped, so that's good.  Now to write, and then print out the pages.

DR Jose, I'm happy you're back in one piece!  Is there snow in Manhattan?

I need help from any DR who may have the cast albums of BOY FROM OZ and LES MIS and who can burn something for me!

OH!

And the lottery tickets have been bought.  I played today's date - 213, as well as the number of DR Laura's post, 145.

DR Jose, I do hope you win!

Glad you made it home DR JOSE.  And yes this is astrologically a very lucky day for MOST people, and especially for those of the Virgo persuasion.  8)

Well... Does that mean the two checks that I should have received last week will arrive in today's mail?

-Oh, wait... the mail came already...

So they'll be here tomorrow?  :-\

And I don't know how soon I'll be getting to work, either.  The driveway that I just paid money to have plowed is now like a skating rink due to the freezing rain that's been falling all afternoon.

After I discovered a really cool graduate school level Immigration Law Certification program (3 courses) offered online through CUNY, (I can't start until the summer semester)  I looked at my "career" horoscope and it said this:

Important news will come to you via the computer. If you are looking for a new job, look on-line. The opportunity you've been waiting for is posted on a web site. You just need to take the time to find it. New technology will lead you to your goals.

Just did a little more writing and am now printing out pages for Margaret, which I'll probably drop by her house later.  I've eaten the last of dear reader Laura's fudge.

The rain finally got here in the last half hour. I was beginning to wonder if maybe the forecasts were wrong for today since we had only had a slight drizzle at lunch, but looks like it's going to rain most of the evening now.

I've already cleaned the living room (this morning since I got up earlier than I expected), so I'll read a bit before settling back in with the evening's TV line-up.

it is sunny and bright here, but it's supposed to be VERY cold tonight. We didn't get any more snow today. Sounds like we lucked out with just 5 inches

Sometime during the day of Thursday, FedEx will deliver my plasma HDTV.

If it's early enough in the day, I will be watching something in high definition Thursday evening.  Will it be "Ugly Betty"?  Will it be "Survivor"?  Will it be "Smallville"?

Who knows?  Is The Shadow around?

Wanna know something funny?

I've read a lot about red velvet cake on these here pages over the years.  Not too much...just enough to convince me that it's a huge favorite of the cognoscenti.

And I've even had my mother report back to me on some event she attended in the South where she had red velvet cake and it was scrumptious.

Truth of the matter, though:  I've never seen or tasted red velvet cake.  Ever.  Not that I can recall (and I can recall a lot).
