More travel vibes for DR JOSE.

Yes today IS the last day of the Mercury retrograde so that machines, computers, and drivers should all be more cooperative!  But we do have this ONE last day.

John Doyle is to direct a production of Merrily We Roll Along at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury, Berkshire, UK. The show is slated to open in January 2008 and run until March.

Since he apparently can't get his actors to play their instruments backwards, he will innovate by running the plot forward.   ;D

My first question for ASK BK day:

What is the worst television series that ever got a multi season run?  I am not talking about 13-week wonders or those series that never were picked up after an initial showing.  The worst one that kept getting renewed for NO discernible reason.

My picks to start:

Caroline in the City
Suddenly Susan

I will add:

George Lopez
Yes, Dear
Still Standing

and one of the worst programs to clog the airwaves

According to Jim - how can this dreck keep running?

So the KRITZERLAND CD appears to be no longer available anywhere online.   :'(

Might it be available as a download eventually?

OMG!  Watching an episode of YES, DEAR was like chewing on a piece of tin foil!

DR BEN - how could I forget STILL STANDING?

Maybe I was trying to blot it from my memory.

It is 3:30 a.m., and I have just received a most distressing phone call. It was someone from the sheriff's department telling me that the case has been dismissed and he will be released in the morning.

I am very confused. The paper I received last week said he was released on bond. And now I am very very frightened.

Did the person explain why it was dismissed? Do you have a contact at the Sheriff's department, maybe the officer who responded to the scene?  I would contact them and ask about it.

DR Elmore, there was one other victim. We are both confused, and he is very angry about this. The folks at the "service club" (aka drinking club) don't know about the dismissal yet, as they were not victims.

We never talked to a prosecutor. In fact, after the photo lineup, I never spoke to anyone again. I made two phone calls: one to the detective, which he did not return, and one to the victim advocate office, which they did not return. I received the one call last week saying the preliminary hearing was postponed, and this call this morning. These folks are just message relayers, so they don't have any other information than what they were given to make the phone call.

Another option would be to find out what justice court the case would have been in and contact the court asking to speak to the county attorney that covers that court. I know when I was there, the same county attorney was assigned to the same justice court on a regular basis, so they would be the one to contact. or if it was a city charge, the city attorney

I am still not well.  Last night I woke up and I couldn't breathe.  I hacked a while, drank some water and was better.  If this wasn't such a busy week I'd stay home, but that really isn't an option.

Can someone who watches MEDIUM (maybe DR MattH) confirm that tonight's episode is a repeat.

Tonight's MEDIUM is new. Next week's show is a rerun.

This is confirmed by TV GUIDE, my cable guide, and the TV listing in my local newspaper. Of course, NBC has been known to make last minute changes so who knows? If you're not going to be home, I'd record it just to make sure.

Going to be a very spring-like day here with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Another beauty.

I was sad to read that THE KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY has been taken off the schedule, and the remaining three episodes it had to air are now in limbo. It's kind of depressing that these shows get filmed but often the public never gets to see them.

This was a charming show that probably would have had a better chance at a long run on another network. ABC is just not known for decent sitcoms nowadays, so when they get a good one, they don't know what to do with it.

I thought VERONICA'S CLOSET was an unworthy sitcom. I liked SUDDENLY SUSAN much more than VERONICA'S CLOSET.

Right now, I'm thinking I'll watch INVITATION TO THE DANCE while I fixing and eating lunch. Then, when it concludes, I'll watch SYRIANA. That should make up my afternoon's viewing.

Cillaliz, it was to be held downtown, which seems odd to me. I always thought these things were done in the local justice court.

I was afraid when they called last week and said it was postponed that this might happen. Other folks thought it might mean that they found more on him and there might be other or more charges.

Many moons ago when I was the victim of a violent crime, I was contacted by a victim's rights group which explained that the county's 92% conviction rate greatly impacted their decisions about which cases to prosecute. Fortunately, the case went to court. Unfortunately, the perpetrator was found guilty of a lesser charge.

Anywho, take care of yourself and continued vibes and good thoughts.
