There was  an American version with Drew Carey which I don’t remember, nor have I seen it.  Has anyone seen either version?

Yes. Woody and I regulary enjoy the American version.

It's stull running!

It's on tonight at 9:00 PM on the FAM channel!

Wayne Brody and Colin Mochrie are my favorites - and the musical numbers are the best!

And, since it's on TNT, if you miss the first airing, they always have a second one a few hours later.

Not to mention all the marathons! They are rerunning season I right now, I believe.

Season 3, we get to see Fritz in a towel. That's reason enough to tune in!  :D

I also make a point not to give away any plot points in the promos.

"The Closer" - SPOILER ALERT!

Singdaw-I suggest you rent Season 1 & 2 and watch the series from the beginning.

Ditto. Each show stands on its own, but to really appreciate the long story arc, it's best to watch from the beginning. Don't get turned off by episode I; they refined, retooled and changed a few cast members and episode 2 was much better---visually as well, and it was uphill from there. I'm really glad I stayed with it, instead of launching the new show HEARTLAND. I don't watch much TV, but I have become very fond of P.M.S. (Priority Murder Squad!).

HEARTLAND stars Treat Williams as a doctor who specializes in heart transplants. My TNT producers just did a shoot with him and said he was a dream to work with.

OK...well maybe that one, but I don't think most people picked up on that little detail.

Shouldn't that be "cheap, cheaper, cheapest"?

...but to really appreciate the long story arc...

I agree. And therein, that the story arc is not one of plot but one of changing character dynamics, lies the show's greatest appeal.

der Brucer

I really am getting twisted - Woody brought me l lovely bowl of egg-drop soup and I went and fetched the Tabasco bottle to give it a few jolts - I now have "Hot & Sour Egg Drop Soup".

I expect Pulliam would approve.

I'll give you a call tonight or tomorrow morning to give you the schedule for tomorrow - at least to tell you when the lunch break is so that you know how 'late' you can show up to observe.

I'm looking forward to it! (If you have any way to read this...)

I have to say that it bugs me that you pay for a hotel room and they charge you for internet access to boot. That should be an amenity!

Some hotels have a setup where you can log on in the lobby, but pay if you want "room service". That seems fair.

Are you saying Ron is hot and sour?

I'm glad to know you are also a Randy Newman fan, Der B, but after looking at a sample of your record collection, how could you *not* be? (Van Dyke Parks produced Randy's first album, BTW...)

I show two episodes on tonight from different years.  Interesting, one at 7:00 & the other at 7:30, I have set both to record.

So did I my you tube posting make any new Gor Mkhitarian fans? Even one?

I had thought that if I posted that he resembled George Clooney, at least a few of you might be sort of curious to look at his music video....but then again maybe not.

Maybe my musical likes are just too unusual for the American masses.

He needs to work on his diction.  I couldn't understand a single word he sang!

Lots happening here today....and lots of injuries.

Well it is impossible for Mercury to be in Uranus for oh so many reasons...and the Mercury retrograde has come to an end.

HOWEVER because Mercury has turned direct - it is still traveling much slower than usual because of the gravitational pull of the earth and various transient orbits of Venus and the moon.

What does that mean in plain English?

Heavy traffic and NO donuts.

A former DR is appearing in a film on TCM this evening in a couple of hours.  The film is MAN IN A NET.

Speaking of which, thanks for the Castle Photo, DR FRANCOIS!!  O Dio Mio!!

Well, I'm back for moment to announce that as of now, I have officially joined the 21st century internet. I just installed DSL, and I am very pleased that the installation was so effortless. Hopefully, I can begin enjoying some internet goodies that were a pain to access using dial-up.

Anyway, hooray for me!  ;D

Congratulations, Matt!

I wonder if there are any Armenian bodybuilders in Artesia?

Well, they don't make Mercurys anymore, so you'll have to be "The Lincoln Radio Theatre"!
