Cilla, I love the new haircut and the new avatar. What a cute picture of you!

Thanks, I took it myself. Had to crop off the extended right arm

La vie was Thurston Howell's wife on Gilligan's Island, right?

No, La vie was the name of Piaf's single rose.

Der Brucer, don't think I'll be going to the footbridge. We had lunch again Friday, no I didn't mention it. We'll see, but the more time I spend with him, the less I want to spend time with him...not a good sign

The dinner party was wonderful. 5 couples dining in the midst of a boxwood parterre planted in the 1800's. We dined under the arbor, which was covered in muscadine grape vines. Our hostess hasn't found any good use for the grapes yet.

Everyone loved the chicken dip and polished it off quickly.

Then we retired to the "Voodoo Lounge" for dessert.

A good time was had by all!

2 people asked me for the recipe. It was very easy---it took 15 minutes to make and 20 to cook. Easy!

How do dispose of the discarded body parts?

Like they do in Texas:

Did you already post the recipe? Or can I convince you to do so?

Cilla, I posted it earlier but here it is again for the sake of convenience:

Chicken Wing Dip

1 pkg of cream cheese (regular, not light)
˝ jar of chunky bleu cheese dressing
˝ bottle of Frank’s Hot Wing Sauce
1 rotisserie chicken (just use the white meat, both breasts and shred fairly thin)

Soften the cream cheese (I did it in the microwave), mix it with the dressing and the sauce, then just add the shredded chicken.  Sprinkle a little cheese (cheddar is good) on top and bake it at 350 for about 20 minutes.

(I served it with bagel chips.)

LOTS of cropping and LOTS of photos until I could get one that I could crop. I did it the day I got my hair cut, it was pretty funny actually. I started thinking about how this would look to someone watching and by the end of my little photo session I was laughing and laughing

Well, there's more than one crow in field (or whatever they say in Ioway).
