I have always liked Blazing Saddles. I read a while back that the Library of Congress added it to their collection to preservation.

Actually your comments have been interesting. I watched Talledega Nights. What a waste of a perfectly good DVD!

Well, it's beyond silly and perfectly ridiculous, but for someone who's lived among NASCAR fans and in the home of NASCAR his whole life, there was a lot to laugh at.

I saw Talledega Nights over christmas and the only one laughing was my one sister. My dad was not impressed. I found Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit far more entertaining than Talledega Nights.

I think YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN holds up better than BLAZING SADDLES (both released in 1974), but Madelaine Kahn is brilliant in both of them.

And I despise both of those films and don't find them very funny at all. Different strokes for sure!   :D

I am not a NASCAR fan. The noise of the races on the telly is painful for me due to the nature of my hearing loss.

I also noticed on the DVR that I had recorded one of the CRIME DOCTOR features from TCM during the last 24 hours. I'll try to get to it tomorrow, too. I do want to finish RUMOR HAS IT tomorrow first thing.

I did like 6-Pack, which was a racing movie.

With GREASE not on tomorrow night (or ever again), that frees up an hour of prime time to watch some DVDs tomorrow, too.

I got a new Criterion DVD OVERLORD today which I've never seen. It's a war film (WW II), so I will probably try to get to it at some point tomorrow.

Just heard on the radio that a touring show, Urban Cowboy, is coming to FArgo. Any familiar with this musical?

Interesting another movie - musical tie-in

I did not mind the movie version of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Dolly Parton I thought did a good job.

From friends I know who saw it, a lousy show.

I didn't like the movie much either.

I had forgotten Robert Osborne, the host on Turner Classic Movies, used to be an actor...I just saw him in an episode of THE BEVERLY HILLBILLYS on one of those dollar DVDs....you know what, he was actually quite a good looking young man back in 1962!

Why wait until tomorrow?

We still have a ways to go before today is over (at least here on the ol' West Coast)!
