By the way Panni, I think you are not the only one on this board who would be likely to chase after Gordon Scott! LOL!

Forgot about media check:

CD: Right now I am listening, once again, to the soundtrack of PAKEEZAH.

VHS: Last night I watched FRONT PAGE WOMAN with Bette Davis and George Brent and then THEY CALL IT SIN with Loretta Young and David Manners. Both very enjoyable films taped off of TCM recently.

DVD: Indian (Bollywood) film KATI PATANG (DRIFTING KITE) which is a remake of the Barbara Stanwyke film NO MAN OF HER OWN.

Oh hey, DBMBARNUM - actually Keith Andes DID sing in the movie last night, one number in a Mexican setting.

Today on TCM at 2pm EST - THE SATAN BUG!

Good morning, good morning - how lovely to wake up to so many excellent posts and photos and also photos and posts.  I must do a couple of errands before the Dish People arrive between one and five, and then I'll be posting some photos of my own.

Keith Andes sang in that! He must have forgotten! Well, I must definately watch it next time it aires!! You know, if they could release a George Maharis album you would think someone could at least have had Keith Andes record an album!

Sorry Jane, but I don't know the eposide names of JAG so I can’t answer your question.

I hope the skier was found alive and well.

Welcome and happy posting to the newbies.

Danise I hope you feel better. I don’t need to be sick to have that falling sensation.  It happens often while I’m falling asleep.   LOL.

I’m sure you didn’t watch JAG last night.  If you missed it, and it isn’t a rerun I can send it to you.  Just let me know.

Do get well quickly!!!

Have to dry my hair which is dripping on the keyboard. Welcome, DR PennyO and the other lovely person whose name escapes me - but I can't go back and look because - as previously stated - I'm dripping. Don't take away any karma because of dripping, please.

Panni, I think I've told my Gordo Scott story here before, but I was sandwiched between Gordo and Denny Miller, two former Tarzans, at an Edgar Rice Burroughs convention a few years back (Dum-Dums, they call them, after the gathering of Apes in the novels).  They were signing stuff and I was signing my Dragonheart novel and some scripts of mine (one the first version of Princess of Mars...called by the President of the La Chapter of the Burroughs Bibliophiles, the most Burroughsian script ever).  Denny was gracious and warm and the fans really adored him.  Gordo was sullen, aloof, and a bit of a pill and mostly concerned with making money. (Wish my scanner was working...I have a picture of me between them).

Bruce,  caught the tail-end of one of your Penn and Teller:  Bullshit episodes last night...one about debunking psyhics like John Edwards...Very interesting.

Excuse me for living, but we haven't had a post since I left?  Over an hour?  No, no, no, no, no, that will not do, that will simply not do.  That is unseemly.  How can we have a successful installation with no posts?

Also, where in tarnation IS Francois?  Has anyone tried e-mailing him?

Also, where in tarnation IS everyone?  I'm sitting here gloating in the gloaming.  Why you might ask, is BK sitting here gloating in the gloaming?  Well, I'll tell you why.  As I mentioned, I was "banned" from a certain DVD chat board because someone had posted some comments from Mr. George Feltenstein that no King Kong DVD was on the schedule because they were still trying to locate better elements for the transfer.  There were several disappointed responses.  I posted that everyone might want to take everything Mr. George Feltenstein said with a large container of salt.  The owner of the board then posted a strong rebuke saying I should be careful about calling people a liar without having proof.  I pointed out to him that I had called no one a liar and that people were free to believe what they so chose.  Then I got angry and posted a strong rebuke to the owner, because that was the third time he'd done this to me - misinterpreted my words, and been totally out-of-line to boot.  I suggested he ban me from his childish, filled with people who don't know what they're talking about site, because obviously people who were informed and who actually know from whence they speak really weren't welcome there.  They, of course, removed that post within thirty seconds and banned I was, which was and is fine.

Well, blow me over with a swizzle stick, but Warners seems to have announced that a two-disc Special Edition of King Kong will be out before the end of the year.  OOPS!  When I made my initial post I knew that that was the case because I knew that they'd been working on it for over a year.  So, it looks like Mr. George Feltenstein wasn't being forthright (for whatever reasons) and it looks like my post was right on.  Think the owner, the immature dweeb known as Ronald Epstein (who admits that he never watched a black-and-white film or a classic film until the advent of DVD) will apologize?  I do - on the 12th of Never.

Now, should any of you wish to mosey on over there, register, and post in the King Kong thread that OOPS looks like Mr. Kimmel was right and looks like Mr. Feltenstein wasn't exactly being forthright, and looks like Mr Epstein shouldn't have jumped on Mr. Kimmel and should apologize, well, feel free to do so.  The address is http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/index.php

Once registered, scroll down to Home Theater Software, click and you'll find the topics and you'll find the King Kong thread.

Somehow, whilst writing my diatribe, there were more posts.  Whew.

Panni, dry your hair, quickly, because I'm sure you have a BUSY day in front of you, because you are a BUSY BUSY person.  I have never known such a BUSY person as you.

Pogue: That wasn't one of my personal episodes - if they show the one debunking certain medical practices or the one on SEX, you'll see my contribution.

I'm back from NYC, and while it's nice to be home, I do miss the city already!

DVD--nothing lately

VHS--Les Trois Couleurs: Rouge

CD--The Baker's Wife OCR, Skinner's and Ripleys's Duets, The Last 5 Years OCR

Yes, yes, please help! "My" Seany hasn't been around (and he has a girlfriend anyway), so I'm getting a little rusty! Wah, I miss him!

Laura, you are a very accomplished flirt!  I think Jed and others have attested to that!

Jrand--Love the pics, I hope you will post more!

Tomofoz--Also a lovely pic...Juliette is beautiful.

DR Danise: I really hope you feel better soon!

DRs Tomovoz and MBarnum: Juliette and Taylor are absolutely adorable!

DR Jrand: Thank you for the picture of Times Square. Guys and Dolls was my first show in NYC. I saw it in 1992 (when I was 7).

Sarah: It was chocolate fondue!!! Ah, well, I can't touch that. You win!

The CD player is being temperamental again.  I am happy to say we finally have an AM station here that plays great music by artists such as Como, Ella, Sinatra, etc.  Currently I am listening to Lullaby on Broadway.   We finished SEABISCUIT so nothing is in the DVD.  We have a well used tape of CASABLANCA we might watch.  Someone mentioned a new DVD release last year I would like to get.  Tonight we will be recording the 1949 film THE WINDOW.  For an interesting article on the film and it’s star Bobby Driscoll, check out the following link: http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?s=b87b14a972c93675895bdad594299ca1&p=123350#post123350

Chocolate fondue?  I might be fond of a chocolate fondue for two.  Someone make it right now and let's all have some, shall we?

Panni was apparently so BUSY she logged off before my post pointing out how BUSY she is.  Such a BUSY little bee.
