I don't know. Not very many tours seem to come here lately.

Well, the tour is currently scheduled for 60(!) cities right now.  And there's already talk of a second company going out.  Strike while the iron is hot!

DR Cason - I had somehow missed that DR EverLovinHeather was a thespian.  Have a great trip.  I'm sure she'll knock it out of the park!

No, I am pretty sure she likes boys.

So DR Cillaliz, who are you rooting for on DANCING WITH THE STARS?

I really like Apolo and Julianne. And my least favorites are clyde and john.

I think joey is also very good. As is laila.

And i am very impressed with heather and billy ray. I think billy ray in many ways has it quite hard because he seems like he does not have the natural talent of some of the others. But i love karina and i hope she can keep it up with him. I thought he did well tonight.

Right now, I like Apolo, Laila, Joey and Ian.   I'm also impressed with Heather. I wasn't ready to like her as much as I do or for her to be such a good dancer.  I give Billy Ray more brownie points than I did at first, but he's still a wait and see for me.  Clyde will be around for awhile, fan base.  John was kind of fun to watch. If he'd loosen up a little I'd like him better.

DANCING WITH THE STARS

SPOILERS

I am sort of annoyed that samantha tried to mislead people by telling them that my 2 least favorites (clyde and john) were in trouble and needed the public's votes.

They (the lowest) are not in more trouble really than any other team.  And especially if they only have 1 or 2 votes less.

I wish they would explain on the show how the actual voting works.

I bet if you polled the people watching every single person would say that they think the judges votes count for 50% of the votes.

(end of rant and time for bed).

Hmm we actually sort of agree. Although i'm not sure if i will vote for laila or ian. But they are pretty decent.

I also wasn't expecting to be as impressed with heather as i have been.  I've heard lots about her but never actually knew he personality.  She seems quite lovely. And I can't believe how good she has been with so little practice.

There was actually an article about her this week saying she had bad back problems and was only able to practice very little. I wonder if her 9 hours was the total, or just her doing the routine full out.

Even though billy ray is not great i really like him and karina. He's more entertaining to me to watch than many of the others. And he is doing as well as he can with his capabilites. So that is really the best he can do. People like joey and apolo have a much easier time. They are so much better to start with.

I enjoy seeing people who are less talented really shine.

Well, it was strep. I went to the clinic very early this morning, was given a prescription, and have spent the entire day sleeping and downing Theraflu. When I woke up at 6:30, it seemed as if the antibiotic had finally kicked in. Hopefully I'll be ready to go back to classes in a day or two.

What a way to spend a weekend, eh?

Theres no way I could catch up on the posts I've missed, but I hope you're all doing well!

Well, it was strep.

Well, at least it is something you can treat. You'll feel better in a day or so.

Jose, how can you tell what shows are touring where?

Playbill.com is my homepage, so...  There are links to National Tours along the left side of the homepage.  BroadwayWorld.com also has tour info.

Additionally, shows and tours set up websites just as soon as they are planned.  Google comes in handy in that regard.

And speaking of lunch...

I headed across the street from the Equity building to John's Shanghai for lunch today.  And I have to say it was one of the tastiest Chinese food meals I've had in a while.  And everything seemed really fresh today too.  For my entree, I ordered their "Crispy Tofu".  I've had it there before, but it was never as good as it was today.  Perfectly fried, no oil dripping off the cubes of tofu onto the plate.  And they were fried perfectly - just enough of a crust which yielded to a silky core of soft tofu.  And the sauce was good too - sort of like a duck sauce, but not as cloying.  YUM!

I thought you said you had a good lunch?

I began my evening of entertainment watching the last special feature on the OVERLORD DVD set - director Stuart Cooper's short film on Spanish artist Juan Genoves. It was his mixing of the pure art with live action footage in counterpoint that convincing the producer to mlet him try a feature film along the same lines with OVERLORD. Interesting.

OK, folks...  A gentle "hint" - When composing "banners" - moving or otherwise - please keep track of their "length" - especially if you increase the font size.  Otherwise, we go into Vista-Vision.
