Be sure to chose a color that makes you happy.

Plaid?

I had purchased Sherlock a Nylabone Big Chew which he proceeded to break within 10 minutes.  Since Big Chew, as you would expect, is for big chewers I called Nylabone to complain.  They said the one I  purchased had been discontinued & they would replace it with he current version.  They also included a regular nylabone for him.

Sherlock seemed to know the box was for him & was excited while he waited for me to open it.

I would have preferred that the master bathroom would be the new bathroom.

 :'(

May you have a new master bathroom after this one is fixed.

At least you don't have termites :)

We treated the house for termites a few years ago. It is good to know that the treatment worked.

By the way, did you know  that if you whack at a cast iron bathtub with a sledge hammer, you can break it into pieces?

At this point I'm willing to try anything- it helps with constipation?

A good food, & this is an excellent food, should balance the system, so it might.

Have you tried Cat-Lax, or something like it?

Good news: No termite damage inside the walls!

Yay! Here in Georgia, when there's water damage, you can almost be sure there will be termites.

We fixed part of the roof on the new house where some bad repair work had been done...but didn't realize there was a problem until the ceiling in the entryway collapsed.

Poor DearReaderLaura  :(

I don't envy you.

I hope that the contractor who built my bathroom back in 1941 did a good job...I don't want to have to replace anything.

Even if he did a perfect job, after 60 years galvanized plumbing really starts to deteriorate - the first symptom is usually reduced flow from hot water taps.

I would say that if you haven't replaced anything in 65 years, he probably did a good job! :D

Guess he is still looking for the new Fed-X guy who left the package at the door.  He is also waiting for his Daddy to return home, he loves his Daddy.

Basically everything is the same.  But thanks for asking.

He does look happier walking around or playing with it.

In the mail today we received a post card with a photo of condos for sale in Portland.  Those have to be about the ugliest buildings we have ever seen.   :o

Thank you, DR George!

Lots to say, perhaps, but little of substance.

That's never stopped anyone before. ::)

Re: boston legal.

The great thing about last night's show was that the flashbacks were real.  The whole time they were doing it (showing young denny) i just knew that had to be william shatner and i was wondering what it was from.

Apparently it's from a show he did many years ago.

I just loved how they worked it in to the story. Totally brilliant!

Those excerpts were from an old STUDIO ONE live broadcast he did in 1957, and the footage was taken from a kinescope made from the live broadcast. Wasn't that Ralph Bellamy as his father in the clips?

I've had a busy afternoon of viewing.

I began by finishing THUNDERBALL which I had begun last night. The transfer continued to be exceptionally clean and the new DTS soundtrack a real blast. I really loved that about this new edition. I would have liked stronger color throughout but to have such a clear, clean image, it's a tradeoff I'm okay with.

I still think it's the weakest Connery Bond even if it did make the most money. (And I'm not counting NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN which was really terrible the last time I watched it.)

Next I watched LAW & ORDER: CI, a volatile episode concerning the death of a doctor who was performing operations for the hearing impaired. The episode began with some very atmospheric silent scenes as we watched the action through the person of a deaf woman. Unfortunately, this was dropped after the opening few moments, but it might have been more effective if the writers could have figured some way to do the entire episode through the eyes of a deaf person.

A detective in the major case squad who served as the deaf translator seemed to have eyes for Detective Eames. This may be the beginning of a personal life for her.

Next came that BOSTON LEGAL episode which was being written about earlier. It was an effective episode and much more dramatic than usual (only Mark Valley getting stuck in a vent for the entire show was really played for laughs.) Yes, it did give William Shatner something to play other than a confused buffoon.

Thank you DR Laura, and it covers up all his shaved areas, as well as protect his skin.  We would like to remove it before our Friday walk into town.  Maybe we can rig up a black tee-shirt, even if it doesn't offer as much protection.

LAW & ORDER: SVU had a disturbing episode concerning an epidemic of drunk teenagers. Peter Hermann, Mariska Hargitay's real-life husband, guest starred as an attorney representing the teens. Judith Light also made an appearance as the judge in the case. She has been a recurring character on the show for the last few years.
