Well, you've read the notes, you're feeling bunny-like and in the Easter spirit, and now it is time for you to post until the Easter cows come home.

And for those who missed it yesterday, here it is again.  If you want some titles but have to wait until payday, no problem - just let me know what you want and I'll hold it for you.

And here, in all its glory, is Ye Newe List - we have very low quantities of several titles, so order quickly:

Lost In Boston II (essential - elmore orchestrations)

Lost In Boston III (essential - orchstrations by Steve Orich, who did Jersey Boys)

Lost In Boston IV (essential)

Chicago And All That Jazz - The Brad Ellis Little Big Band (a great cover version)

Lerner, Loewe and Lane (STAGE benefit recording - 2CD set) low quantity

Unsung Sondheim (elmore orchestrations, and my very first VS album) low quantity

Prime Time Musicals (songs from musicals written for TV, and one of my all-time faves of all that I've done) low quantity

Sondheim At The Movies low quantity

Bells Are Ringing (revival cast album with Faith Prince) low quantity

Ethel Merman's Broadway (cast album starring Rita McKenzie)

Stephen Schwartz - Uncharted Territory (solo album with the bonus track)

Michelle Nicastro Toonful (a classic - if you have kids get all these Nicastro albums - they're all faboo)

Michelle Nicastro Toonful Too

Michelle Nicastro Reel Imagination

Michelle Nicastro  On My Own (long out of print - B'way songs)

Jason Graae: Live At The Cinegrill

Jason Graae: You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile (songs of Charles Strouse - worth it for the cover alone)

If Love Were All (cast album with Twiggy and Harry Groener as Noel and Gertie)

I Do! I Do!  (revival cast album with Karen Ziemba and David Garrison)

Unsung Musicals (the original - a wonderful CD)

Unsung Musicals II (essential)

Helen Reddy: Center Stage (B'way songs, Miss Reddy at her best)

Petula Clark: Here For You  (a wonderful album)

Liz Callaway: Anywhere I Wander (the Frank Loesser album, done concurrently with Unsung Sondheim, with elmore charts - one of the great solo debut albums)

Unsung Irving Berlin (2 CD set of Berlin rarities - I was the first person to get to rummage in the bowels of Mr. Berlin's trunk and the result was an amazing album - in fact, three of my discoveries were interpolated into Face The Music) low quantity

Cole Porter (STAGE benefit - 2 CD set) very low quantity

Mary Cleere Haran: This Funny World (Rodgers and Hart - the album no one knows I produced - with Richard Rodney Bennett - it's pretty sublime)

The Paul Simon Album (my most controversial album - hated by many, liked by some - no one's in the middle - but I'm fond of several tracks, especially Jane Krakowski's Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover - and a great hidden track)

After The Fair (cast album - with the divoon Michele Pawk)

Cabaret - The Brad Ellis Big Band (as good as the Chicago album)

Little By Little (cast album with Christiane Noll, Darrin Baker, and Liz Larsen - delightful Brad Ross musical)

John and Jen (cast album of Andrew Lippa musical, starring Carolee Carmello)

Judy Kuhn: Just In Time (Jule Styne songs performed beautifully)

Judy Kaye: Songs From The Silver Screen (the followup to Diva by Diva, and filled with great movie musical songs)

Linda Purl: Alone Together (another completely unknown album - and it's fantastic, if you like standards and great, sexy singing)

As Thousands Cheer (cast album of the Irving Berlin show)

Rupert Holmes: Widescreen and more (brilliant) VERY low quantity

Cinderella - the followup to the Peter Pan album and every bit as delightful - low quantity

Hey, Love (the Mary Rodgers revue starring Faith Prince - absolutely wonderful)

Randy Graff: Doin Something Right (Cy Coleman songs sung by the great Graff)

Sondheim: A Celebration (2 CD set of the STAGE benefit)

The Trotter Trio: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (another great Trotter cover version)

The Grass Harp (cast recording of the faboo Claibe Richardson musical)

Paige O'Hara: Loving You (Jerry Herman songs - a lovely recording)

The Stephen Sondheim Album - a GREAT album with one of my best casts, including Brent Barrett, Dorothy Loudon, Lea de Laria, Norm Lewis, Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Michele Pawk, etc.  VERY limited quantity - only about four of these.

Christiane Noll: A Broadway Love Story - for my money, in my top five.  Everything about it pleases me.  VERY limited quantities.

That's it.  Single CDs are $10 each, 2 CD sets are $12.  As before, please e-mail me at haineshisway@aol.com to confirm your order.

For every ten ordered at one time, you receive one free CD of MY CHOICE (most people last time did their own choosing - but because of low quantities, that just doesn't work).  If you order twenty CDs, you also get free priority shipping.  Otherwise shipping is between 3.50 and 5.00 depending on quantity ordered.

Don't dally on some of these titles.

There are more of these CDs that I don't have than of the last bunch.  Erg.  I'll have to think about this...and balance my checkbook to see how much money I have to spare. :)

DR CILLA LIZ sets the date!!!  Perhaps some enterprising person at HHW can put her on YOUTUBE, then we can all see it and not so many copies will have to be made!

And if you go to keepvid.com (without www), you can actually save the .flv file to your computer!

And for those who missed it yesterday, here it is again.

Thanks for posting that...I haven't caught up with yesterday's posts!

We went to Amoeba tonight and saw a few of these discs there, and they were $15, so this is a DEAL!

Totally!  My problem is that I won't be able to get all of the CDs that I'd like to get, so I'll have to choose carefully. :-\

Over a very short period of time last night, I seemed to have become afflicted with lower gastrointestinal distress...and of a highly viscous nature. :P (I know, I know...TMI!!)  I seem to be doing better now and am hoping that I'll be fine by this evening, since my parents are having everyone over for dinner.  Right now, I can't even think about eating because of what might happen. :-X

Whew---that was one amazing day. We went to a brunch given by our fellow Randy Newman fans, after which Greg, friend Susan and I went to Van Dyke Parks' home, where he played us some new music, including a wonderful piece which featured Grant Geissman. We had bloody marys and talked about our future projects, and they gave us all t-shirts from their son Richard's "Old Koton Industries" line. It was splendid, and they made us feel like very special guests.

Then we met bk and Adrianna (who is much shorter than her avatar!) at Ghengis Cohen. None of us thought we were hungry after the brunch, but once the food started appearing, our appetities reappeared and we polished off all the dishes. It was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and it was so nice of bk to treat us all to dinner.

Not only that, but he had a job offer for me! But unfortunately, it would involve working in LA and I wouldn't be able to leave THE CLOSER. But it was nice that he thought enough of my work to recommend me; it sounded like a very interesting project.

A funny thing happened at the brunch---it turned out that one of the guests is a huge fan of Bruce's CD's. I plan to send him the list so he can order some more. He was genuinely disappointed that bk had been at our Sacco and Vanzetti screening and didn't meet him. Next time...

After eating ourselves into a stupor, we dashed to Amoeba for a fast round of shopping (I got a lot of good dovumentaries) and then we headed to Culver City to a club called "Irish Times", to see Bruno Coon's band. (Bruno is Randy Newman's music editor.) The club was full of women who enjoyed dancing to the band. Greg remarked that only in California would you see Japanese women dancing to reggae music in an Irish pub!

Then we drove Susan home to Manhattan Beach and are now ensconced back at our hotel.

Now I'm ready to sleep. What a day!

I heard DR JOSESPIANO was in the dressing room with a Tony-winning songwriter last night.

Hmmmm free for all day:

Has anyone from HHW ever appeared on a television game show?  What was it like?  Did you win any prizes?

I guess DRMBARNUM did not receive his surprise in the mail yesterday, maybe on Monday.  I hope the TV star taped in that box survives the trip.  But he did get a new LAPTOP (computer).

And yes, Mr Herman Cohen's favorite cast member from BERSERK! would be Ty Hardin.  Very interesting that DR TCB knew Mr Gene Fowler.

Easter morning greetings!  DH Richard is off to Cincinnati for church and, on his way home, will pick up my mother, his mother, and my aunt.  They, along with DS Rob and his girlfriend, will be here for our dinner of green eggs and ham later this afternoon.  Lots to do, but I'll check in here from time to time during my party prep.

John Hoyt was also the old guy in a series of Midas Muffler commercials who drove a Model T into the shop now and then to get his lifetime replacement muffler.
