I didn't respond to yesterday's topic, either, and have been giving it a lot of thought.  My first Internet experience was Telnet - text-based email and bulletin boards.  I was teaching in the Miami University Teacher Education department when GUI (graphical user interface) first became available - we had Netscape.  I created an  Internet-exploration exercise for all these aspiring teachers in which they were to find and evaluate:

3 sites just for fun,
2 sites that would be useful in lesson planning, and
1 site you wouldn't want your students to stumble across in an open lab  :o

I'm sure they will be fighting over film rights.

Actually, I'm thinking of bringing back the television miniseries for this one.  I'm afraid that its expanse in time, geography and parade of characters will not fit into a mere two hour film.

That is all.

I can certainly vouch for this data.

Happy Birthday DR Joey.

We have LOST on here at 7pm (although i won't be home). But i really want to watch it.  I'll probably watch some of the IDOL show and record some of it (will the elim be at the end or will they scatter parts throughout the show).

I think jordin and melinda are safe. But everyone else could go. I am especially worried about blake.

It seems like phil is now popular again, which i don't get. I can't remember seeing someone in the B2 week after week, and then all of a sudden the most popular.  He does seem really nice though.

I would guess Chris or Lakisha would go. As long as it's not blake i don't care.

Nope, never seen a UFO. And I really loved astronomy as a kid even though I never got around to getting a real telescope. My dad had a great set of binoculars that I'd go out and use almost every night.

I was a bit disappointed with who left too. But i knew it would be heather and john in the B2. I loved heather the first few weeks. But did not care for her this week or last. And she seemed like she was ready to go. All that travel and having to go home for her daughter. I wonder if she is not happy to go.

I think the F3 will surely be laila, apolo and joey.  I'm not sure if ian or billy ray will be the 4th. I thikn ian is stronger. But he needs to step things up. He has the potential to be quite good. But unless he loosens up he could be gone soon. I think john will go next though.

According to DialIdol, Chris is at the bottom with Melinda next to him! (Admittedly, they claim the vote is really too close to call for everyone but Jordin who is declared safe.)

I really thought LaKisha was far and away the worst one last night.

And now I'm heading downstairs to see if the mail has come and then get an early start on cleaning the den. Would love to get that finished before starting on lunch preparations.

DR TCB - I enjoy NCIS, but have only watched THE UNIT once.

I like the cast of NCIS - some of the stories not so much, but I enjoy seeing the people in the show including Mr David McCallum.

Since DR derBRUCER's comment about THE UNIT, perhaps I will give it a chance....but it seemed to me from the promos to be a DESPERATE ARMY HOUSEWIVES clone that I wasn't much interested in.

As for Ask BK Day...

Well, continuing my series, as it were, what one question would you like to ask the following people:

Ira Gershwin
Dorothy Fields
Yip Harburg
Johnny Mercer

Ira: How were you so damnably clever with words?

Dorothy: How were you so damnably clever with words?

Yip: How were so do damnably clever with words?

Johnny: Where did a lyric like Moon River come from?  And Days Of Wine and Roses?  They are beautiful, but the imagery is one of a kind and a little off the beaten path.
