I'm not sure if anybody here watches Gilmore Girls (spoilers for this past week's show). But the episode was so wonderful, I actually had tears running down my cheeks.

I feel bad that the writers do not know (i don't think) whether the show will be back next year. I hate that when a show has been on a number of years. They should have to let the writers write a proper ending.

Stars Hollow (the little town where Lauren Graham (aka laurelai) lives) had karaoke night. Anyhow rory (her college aged daugher) was upset. So she asked her mom (who is her best friend) to sing something.

Laurelai didn't want to but decided to sing "I will always love you" to her daughter (who was upset she didn't get in at the NY Times).

Anyhow (and this is the part that made me teary), in the middle of her singing, her long-time love luke (who she was engaged to) walks in. And she has to continue singing all the mushy parts. She sees him, chokies up. Everyone else there turns and sees him. And what ensues is the most beautiful scene.

If she ever wants a chance at an emmy, she should submit this scene.

WHy is it always so difficult to search for remastered releases on Amazon? I'm trying to find the new Sondheim reissues, but they are impossible to find! Does anyone (DR George) have a link?

It was my limited experience with THE GILMORE GIRLS, that the "characters" were all mouthpieces for philosophies and angst of the writers - very much in the vein of the DESIGNING WOMEN.

I had a good afternoon of viewing. I began with part two of BRANDO from TCM. Interesting bits from films and opinions of him from a wide variety of friends and co-stars.

Really makes me wish I had seen part one, however, since the bulk of his great work is contained in the first half of his career. I'll keep an eye out for a rebroadcast.

I don't know why Warners didn't include this in the Brando boxed set from a couple of months ago. Maybe it couldn't premiere on DVD if they wanted prize consideration from Cannes and/or the Academy.

Next came last night's MEDIUM. The beginning of a story arc featuring Neve Campbell, and I found it most interesting that Allison really doesn't have what we think of as friends. She has her work colleagues, her husband and children, but no girl friends or men friends to do things with. I hadn't thought about that until last night's episode.

CSI : NY featured two new cases (a guy wearing an angel costume and a cold case that brought in Danny Pino from COLD CASE's Philadelphia bureau). We also got to see what really happened on the roof last week with the Gary Sinese and Joey Lawrence characters. That should also take us to the season finale. Now he and Stella are hiding truths from their superiors.
