Detesting the antisemitic homophobic Mel Gibson as I do, I would never purchase anything to send him a portion of the funds. I'd be curious to see the film, and I might Netflix it.
When I saw the previews for the film last year, it looks weird and hopelessly violent.
Well, it IS violent, to be sure, but it's breathlessly directed and other than Gibson's fascination with butchering the human body (there's an extended human sacrifice sequence), it's a very compelling and very watchable film.
And it was shot with high definition video cameras rather than film cameras, so the digital image on DVD is flawless.
