Wow!  DR TCB...."Goodnight Irene" by Gordon Jenkins and the Weavers was number one from the week of August 19 to November 11, 1950.

I would guess a LOT of people share our honor.

And we are only three days apart.  I'm older - of course.

There is a wonderful documentary premiering tonight on HBO called WIDE AWAKE, by Alan Berliner (one of my favorite documentary directors.)

The subject is insomnia, but his films are always filtered through his own experiences and are very entertaining. Appropriately enough, it is premiering at 1:30AM for the insomniacs, and then at 8PM tomorrow night. (I saw it at the festival we premiered our film...with Mr. Berlier himself!)

I began my evening with SVU, and DR Elmore was right: so many character threads dangling at the end of the season. Who knows what will happen to any of them.

Very entertaining show, though I didn't agree with the jury's decision at all.

Next came another episode of PLANET EARTH, one of the best yet called "Shallow Seas." The underwater photography was so incredible, I kept running things back to watch them again it was so stunning. Just amasing stuff.

I have more movies to watch.

And - while I may cause some envy here at HHW - I must say that DRMBARNUM secured personalized autographed photos of Miss Laurie Mitchell for me...one from QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE and the other from ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE....

Life is good!

I watched the last half hour of the LAW & ORDER rerun on TNT-HD. I remember when this episode first aired how I agreed with the jury even though the guilty parties were later proven innocent (well, they were thieves but not murderers).

Then I settled in for LOST.

What an amazing two hours. I was constantly on the edge of  my seat. In despair and then overjoyed at things happening. Some sad goodbyes had to be said, and a very disturbing Jack backstory.

Wonderful end to a very good season.

LOST didn't even earn an Emmy nomination last year as Best Drama Series (it had won the year before). I predict it will earn a Best Drama Series nomination this year.

Methinks Mr. Shayne has been skipping pages of posts, otherwise he would most certainly know what Claus Ogerman CD we're all talking about.  Very few copies left now.

Has any other DR seen that Stanley Steemer commercial where the kid teaches his dog a new way to "walk"?  ;)

This is my favorite new commercial:

I have mixed feelings about the commercial.....but it did make me laugh....but not as much as....the Breyer's Double Churned when the man comes home and finds his wife betraying him with a Breyer's Bucket....

Watch the socks on the bucket.....if you can find the commercial....I can't find it on YOU TUBE.
