The brothels have been turned into art galleries.

Perhaps DR MBarnum would like to see the Museum of Sex while he's terrorizing Manhattan?

Saturday morning greetings!  It's an information-waitressing day for me, but, hoo and ray, my last Saturday to work until July 14.

Sympathies to DRs Rodzinski and TPunk on the loss of Walty.

Good morning, all!  Another day at Toyland and later, p'raps, dinner with Mr Kevin Spirtas.Beyond that, my day is completely open.

Because of Quilter's "Children's Overture," I've been listening to the orchestral music of him, Eric Coates, and Edward German this morning.  All exhibit excellent musical training, fine sense of form and wonderful melodic content, but I feel it could all be music of the same composer. It's good light music, so I'm not complaining, mostly just contemplating.

DR Rodzinski, I remember when I asked about Walty at FJL's apartment and you and TPunk told me of his condition. That is so sad! But I'm glad you were able to make that decision for his benefit. It's a tough thing to do, but done out of love, and I'm sure Walty was thankful that you loved him that much. I'm sure my ancient kitty is showing Walty around right now!

My cousin had to put her 19 year old love cat, Rusty to sleep. She is my cousin who lost her husband 6 months ago (I had posted about it and sent your vibes on to her.)

Rusty was like her "second spouse"---always slept on the pillow between her and her husband. So I know it's really tough to lose them both so close together. I like to think that Rusty hung in there to help her get through that rough time.

Boy, between that, seeing my girlfriend's 19 year cat off a few days ago, and the news about Marty and Walty, I'm all weepy.

I have an idea for the next episode of "The Ventilator." He can take on the case of the nice church lady who takes care of the kitties and the drunken trailer thug.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I've already had breakfast too.  And Steve made the breakfast!  Eggs, bacon, potatoes, OJ, coffee. :)

So, I believe we're going to head out for a bit of window shopping and probably some lunch in Carytown - my favorite stretch of block in Richmond - and then I'll head on over to my parents' new house.   *I'm not sure what, if any, sort of internet set-up is in place, so, if I don't post later tonight, that probably means there isn't one.

Am I to assume that Guy Haines will be singing the song over the title credits for "THE VENTILATOR"?  And just who's names will we be seeing in those opening credits?

DR Jose - Your Chorus Line news last night was very interesting.  If you're "in" over the weekend of June 29-July 1, DH Richard and I will try to attend!

I'm trying to come up with some pun about Ventin' Crisp, The Naked Uncivil servant, but I'm drawing a blank on that.

Good morning!

A bit cooler and more overcast today since we're supposed to get some storms over the weekend. A little rain would ease the drought and make things a bit cooler. I'm all for that, even if it does mean I'll have to mow the grass a few days after it rains.

Looking forward to seeing the special features in the IF.... package. Particularly interested in Lindsay Anderson's THURSDAY'S CHILDREN, the 1954 documentary short that won an Oscar. I've never seen it before, and it sounds really good.

I love GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. I've seen it on both stage and screen and found it riveting in both mediums. I think it's his best work.

I also love THE VERDICT, one of my all-time favorite courtroom dramas. I knew Ben Kingsley was going to win the Oscar that year, but I really thought Newman deserved it.

Thanks you guys and gals for all the nice thoughts. HHW is the best site on the net because everyone is so articulate. TPunk left for a vacation to Puerto Rico yesterday but I will be sure she sees everyone's kindness.

I'm up, I'm up.

edisaurus, yes I'll add it.  If people think they've made their payments (like tomovoz) they sure haven't shown up in Ye Olde Paypal accout) - can everyone let me know, and I'll double check - but if you've made payment just double check to see it's gone through, please.  I got payments from George, and Jrand and Pulliam and der Brucer and sindaw, and that's it.
