Well...

Earlier I was over at my brother Don's place, and now I'm over at my brother Mike's place.  About an hour ago, I had taken Emily up to her room, and, literally, as soon as we walked into her room, she fell asleep.  And for about 20 minutes she was just snuggled on my chest.  :)  And then my brother, Mike, came in to put her in her bedtime clothes as well as a fresh diaper.  Of course, she ended up waking up and was bright-eye and bushy-tailed - and crawling around like crazy! - but she eventually got sleepy again.

-And, I think Uncle Jojo is a bit sleepy now too...

The Garden of Wattles Mansion. This is only a small portion of the original, but it is being restored.

Thanks, Jane, for the vibes, but the problem will not heal itself and she needs to be on some medication.

LOL, DR DearReaderLaura!  I needed that!

As we look after the 3 (count 'em, 3) old ladies (my mother, my husband's mother, and my aunt), DH Richard keeps reminding me to learn my lessons now, for the sake of DS Rob.

I've spent last evenng and this afternoon watching the great Masterpiece Theatre production of Balzac's black comedy COUSIN BETTE, with the incomparable battle-axe Margaret Tyzack and Helen Mirren.  Absolutely wonderful and far superior to the Des MacAnuff film with Jessica Lang, which confuses it with Zola's novel NANA. I think I'll reread Balzac's novel as well.

Yes, DR ELMORE, wasn't COUSIN BETTE wonderful?! Just loved it.

Dear reader Laura, the show is November 5th, a Monday evening.  We haven't quite decided on ticket prices but we're trying to keep them reasonable.  I think they'll be around fifty dollars - we're providing about three hundred seats for students in the balcony.  Those will be twenty bucks or so.  And, of course, we'll have about four prime orchestra rows as Gold Circle seating at $250 and those will include a little pre-show cocktail party.  There will also be a silent auction and I'm here to tell you we're going to have incredible stuff.

Adrianna--I love the photos. That looks like a perfect day to me...old cars, old gardens surrounding an old mansion.

The fellow we bought our new house from was a member of the Magic Castle's Jr. Magicians Program, where he learned from masters of theatrical magic. He was the youngest recipient of an award from the Academy of Magical Arts.

When we were closing the deal, he did card tricks for us while we were waiting for paperwork to get faxed, etc. He was quite good. He also wrote the book on fire eating:

I had some entertaining programs to watch tonight.

I began with the remainder of the ANGEL episode I had started. Again, it was left with a cliffhanger. By this time in the show, there were very few stand alone episodes. They all ended in cliffhangers to brings folks back for the next episode. I do think I enjoy the earlier episodes more. Several of these felt like padding or filler and not episodes of consequence.
