Today are auditions for Annie, Get Your Gun  It will be interesting.  It's an odd show in the sense that no one really does it much.  A theatre gorup in a 30 mile radius did it last year.  While it shouldn't affect us, I can't imagine the "gypsy's" in the area won't want to do this show two years in a row.  Last night at Beauty and the Beast rehearsal, I was trying to talk some of our younger cast members into auditioning.  Reactions were usually "Yuck, that's an old show" I reminded them that they should be well rounded perfromers and get into some of the classics.  In any case it should be an interesting day.

Outa here...

Remind the "younger cast members" that it ran on Broadway for two years with an inept Bernadette Peters, Susan Lucci whom I did not see, and the incomparable Reba McEntire!

DR Matthew, when I worked on the shw earlier in the year, I found some wrong notes in the piano score created from my full scores.  remind me to look for them and tell you what they are!

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I think I slept well... Well, I at least feel rested, but the last few hours of my sleep were spent looking at the clock every five to ten minutes wondering if I should not be sleeping in today. ???

I had seriously considered heading out for a run, but since I could already feel the heat coming in through the windows.... However, if I had gotten out of bed at 6:30 when I first woke up (again?!?!?), I would have ran then.  But since I didn't really fall asleep until around 3:00... I didn't think going for a run after just three or so hours of sleep would have been a good thing.  -And since I'm "feeling" the efforts of the past two days, I believe a day of rest would also be a good thing, especially since I just got "motivated" again.  ;)

Hmm...

I would think that "A Casaba Melon" would be listed before "Aardvarks: The Musical".  Hmm...  Where's my MLA Stylebook?  -Would that even be covered in there?

I remember UNO and have only played Hearts a few times.

There was another card game at one time called PIT. It was a commodities trading game.

I'll chime in here on the Cillaliz discourse on the Paris ("I'm not even PRETTY and I get all this attention") Hilton debacle:  I thought I was just missing details as to her "crime"...but I'm now appalled at the lack of rational behavior playing out over this issue.

Somebody needs a bitchslapping...and it now looks like it's the judge.

As for the Topic of the Day...

War
Go Fish
Old Maid
Crazy 8's
Spit
Rummy

And if we can include "non-traditional" decks:
Uno
Skip-Bo
Killer Bunnies

I've never mastered Poker in any of it's forms, but I have developed a somewhat successful system for Blackjack whenever I'm at a casino. ;)

THE NAMESAKE looks like a good movie, DR Dakotacelt.

It is about two generations of the Ganguli family. I found the trailer on line and it does look good. I have seen on of her other films also that the did with REese Witherspoon called VANITY FAIR.

Before.

Only becasue articles are generally ignored; however, should we have a play "A Is For Alibi" it would list before "Aardvarks" following the "nothing comes before something" rule.

Well, I thought we were asking about the listing in the NY Times ABC's - which does not ignore the articles, so..  Thus, "A CASABA MELON" would come before "AARDVARKS".

Right?
