I think it's becoming obvious during our posting frenzies that one simply cannot leave their homes.

I left my home tonight.  I even went to check on the renovations at the restaurant. . .we shan't be open for business again til Thursday!

I believe the 20th Century Zorro movie with the great Alfred Newman score is THE MARK OF ZORRO, not MASK.  Ty Power, Linda Darnell, Basil Rathbone, yes?

Hey, when I graduate from full member to senior member status, does that mean I get flabby?

-Oh the possibilities....

Let's see...

-No, you don't get flabby, but your voice gets lower.

-Flabby?  Oh, but not where you're thinking.

-No, you don't get flabby, you just start growing hair..

OK, I better stop before I cross over the line... if I haven't already... :-X

Yes, The Mark of Zorro.  Or, on this site, The Mark Bakalor of Zorro.

May I just say one thing?  17 PAGES

You know, amazingly, we are in spitting distance of setting a new record.  If, for example, we were to have a late-night denizens' posting frenzy it could happen.  No promises, of course, but it could happen.

I've picked out a cute little cottage in Studio City just south of Ventura. For Sale by Owner. Should be a steal at $800,000. That will be perhaps the first purchase with my winnings. Then there's the computer and TV we promised Cousin TCB...

You two are my favorite cousins!

In re Light in the Piazza, according to the story here much of the Seattle is continuing for the Chicago run.  This would make it consistant with my "new musical" boundaries, should they continue on to NYC.

DR Jason - Well, on my walk tomorrow - between all my bundling and sorting - I will stop by For the Love of Chocolate and see what they have on the shelves.  Hopefully, they will have some Galaxy bars in stock. If not, I'll pick you up a "surprise" assortment of English goodies.

Jose, don't forget to keep an eye out for Mint M&Ms.

Well, I just got back from "The Marriage of Figaro."  I was taking tickets so I didn't have to take people to their seats.  I stayed in the lobby for the first act, I watched the second act (singers good--no microphones, set just okay) and left after the second intermission before the third act.  I've just eaten and am now ready to go to bed, but I can't...

SWoody - Yes, I heard when I saw The Light in the Piazza in Seattle that it would be the same cast (or at least as much as possible) in Chicago.  As I said when I saw it in June, I don't see a whole lot of financial success for the show, but I do hope it gets a recording at some point.  "Clara's Tirade" is one of the best ingenue tour de force pieces I've heard.

Well, actually, I'm one of the ones who ACTUALLY likes BLOOD BROTHERS; but, when seeing a bad production, it is the pits. . .

So, do we blame superstition for what came to pass, or what the English have come to call class? ? ?

Same theory could be applied to a lot of Greek tragedies. . .
I blame Willy Russell.

My sister bought two couches (actually, I think two love seats) for her new house, but it's still being built.  Won't be done for three more months.  So, since I have a spare bedroom, I have to store the couches for her.  So, I have to clean up and get things out of the way (especially in the hallway leading into the room) for when she and her boyfriend bring them over in the morning.

I'd heard about The Light in the Piazza in Seattle but I never got a chance to see it.  I love Victoria Clark and would have loved to see her live!

Wow, what an amazing number of posts!

I saw the Last Samurai tonight...it wasn't too bad, but some of the dialogue was just horribly cliched.  The cinematography was gorgeous, and I loved Ken Watanabe's performance!

Laura I--I'm so very sorry about your cat!  Good vibes to you!

I wish I could see Light in the Piazza.  A friend of mine is seeing it in Chicago tomorrow.

To be totally random here, is Guettel just the cutest composer ever???

By the time TCB replies to all those posts he is catching up on, 500 posts will seem very possible indeed.

Panni,

06 15 19 23 34 40 47 16

Those are the seven winning numbers. We had six lines x seven = 42 numbers; we matched exactly two. Now what are the odds of that happening? And I was so looking forward to adopting TCB.

It was fun. Hope you didn't max out the credit card.

According to www.castalbumdb.com, I have all five of her recordings, but they don't list Cradle Will Rock, the movie.  Does anyone know (I don't remember off the top of my head) if she sings on the CD?

George - Victoria Clark was absolutely fantastic in the show.  Kelli O'Hara and Celia Keenan-Bolger were quite good as well.  I thought Patti Cohenour was a bit underused.

I was thrilled to get to see the show in June.  I was in Kirkland earlier in the day for a job interview, so I got a $10 student ticket just a day or two beforehand.  Ended up being front row dead center (I'd never choose front row, but it was just fine and/or dandy).  Due to the Intiman's layout, the set and the staging, this meant that Victoria Clark sang a couple songs not 2 feet from me... quite a thrill, that.

Hahahaha!! (he laughed maniacally.)  That was my plan all along!  I intend to be the ONLY person to ever post the 500th post on any day that goes that high!  (FYI, I also posted the first 500th post, as well.)

A friend of mine (actually, my ex) lives in Seattle and we've gone to Pay What You Can performances for only a few dollars!  I missed Piazza and was very sad.  :'(

Question: Does anybody here who SAW the original broadway cast hate rent?  I just cannot imagine it.  The show with a regular cast is good. But the OBC was literally so much better. I was practically in tears. And my favorite was the sexy Jesse L. Martin.

Yes, Jennifer, I saw the Original Cast, and the show still sucked!
