Tell me who to call, and I'll dial 'em up and bitch 'em out!

I appreciate the offer and the office is in San Francisco!

I have spent all day dodging the revelation of the end of THE SOPRANOS last night. The daily newspaper had a big headline expressing surprise at the outcome with the complete story on page 2A. I skipped the story.

I should be able to get to it tonight.

A reminder that the festival of gay images in film continues on TCM tonight.

Tonight seems to be women in prison films, at least some of the films have that theme (CAGED is the third one on the docket for tonight).

It's a toll call...and would be WELL worth it!  Just say the word and verbal bitch-slaps will ensue!

TOD:  I've never seen the film, but I understand the final reveal in Planet of the Apes is interesting...

I think someone here pointed out that when the movie was rereleased a couple of years ago, they gave away that ending by putting the image on the DVD cover!  How rude!!  It doesn't matter that the movie is more than 30 years old, they shouldn't have done that. >:(

Just my 2¢.

I happened to see that book you were watching, DtM, at about two minutes before close of bidding. The activity jumped just seconds before the close, and it almost doubled.

Does that help explain why I'd rather use a sniping service?

If I were snarky I could posit other explanations...but, I'm a good boy, I am.... 8)

If two or more people use the same sniping service, who wins?

I think those take the fun/challenge out of it...

Good Afternoon!

OK.. I think I get the esnipe "service", DR Ron Pulliam.

But don't those people who bid and bid and run up the price end up having to buy the item anyway?  Better their money, than mine/yours.

Well, the eBay item in question has just gone over the $400 mark.  I'm too cheap to go any higher and I kind of doubt that it's near that value anyway.

For those who might be interested...

Hmm... I actually have one those.  It's not inscribed nor autographed.  But I have one of the manuscript scores.  Hmm....

I thought THE HISTORY BOYS was a very good movie.  I thought every character was perfectly cast.

I will watch some of the extras sometime.

THE STRANGE ONE based on Calder Willingham's END AS A MAN is on TCM at 2 am EDST tonight/Tuesday morning.

But it's not in Sondheim's handwriting, is it?  Isn't like the Pippin score that's still available?

It's one of the famous Mathilde Pincus "Green Books." Mathilde did one for every show Chelsea Music copied, and they were opening night gifts to everyone involved.  I believe she started doing it back in the 1960s, and there must be around 50 volumes.  They run the gamut from CABARET to COPPERFIELD.

They're the Piano/Conductors reduced from the orchestra scores and in the hands of various copyists- Mathilde, Vic Jaroway, Christine Ambrose, Don Oliver, etc - who worked on the shows.

I want to do a little writing and then will be heading down to watch last night's SOPRANOS and THE TUDORS finales. I may treat myself to another visit to episode #3 from THE CLOSER's second season.

If two or more people use the same sniping service, who wins?

I think those take the fun/challenge out of it...

There's no fun or challenge sitting by your computer 30 seconds before an auction ends.

I bid the most I'm willing to pay.  Period.  If someone is willing to pay more, and is also sniping, that's okay, too.
