And my friend, Mike, and a co-worker of his, are currently boarding the Chinatown bus in Richmond, and they're supposed to be arriving in NYC's Chinatown around 7:30 - six hours from now.  -At which time they'll be giving me a call, and then heading up here to drop their bags off for the day before they hit the museums.  And I may go to the museums with them too.  We shall see.

In any case, since I still have some cleaning and straightening up to take care of...

I finished one DVD but am too "het" up to watch another, so I'm listening to a pretty CD to calm myself.

Watched my new "Mutiny on the Bounty" HD DVD tonight.   AMAZING!  Looks gorgeous, with sharp, DEEP FOCUS -- this movie NEVER looked this good in the theater....except for the fact that it was on a HUGE screen, of course.

The detail the HD DVD displays is breathtaking.  The transfer isn't totally perfect, of course, for the film is 45 years old.   But those imperfections are few and far between.  WOWEE!

Actually, Mutiny On The Bounty looked incredible in the theater - 70mm and six track stereo, here in LA at the Egyptian.  It was so incredible that I went back no less than six times to see it.  The HD DVD must be sharper than the regular DVD, which has real softness problems in longer shots (the closeups are fine).

I keep getting a message on my computer that I need to restart it because programs have been updated.  It's annoying because I don't want to restart my computer.
