DR Jose, i also enjoyed last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.
Who are your favorites?
I can't really say my absolute favorites yet. Since i really feel like i don't know most of them yet at all. That is my biggest complaint.
Well, I don't really have a favorite right now either. However, I think
not knowing most of them is a good thing. It helps to put everyone on equal footing from the start. You just simply judge them on their dancing. Not on who their father is. Not on what their mother did. Not on what kind of obstacle they had to overcome. It actually makes it seem like a real competition/audition - where most of the time, all you really know the contestant by is a number.
And I can tell that the choreographers have also stepped up their game too. Yes, there were some better routines last night, but there were really no bad ones. Even the "Smooth Waltz" was nicely choreographed.
*And, on a sort of personal note, one of my roommates works at Broadway Dance Center here in NYC, and he knows some of this year's finalists. And he's also working on Mia Michael's new website.
