Why...are you afraid to be alone with him?   ;)

I would really love to, but won't be able to make it into the city except for Thursday evening this week.  :(

Me? Afraid?  Pshaw!

Speaking of Matthew Morrison and 10 MILLION MILES--is it true that the guy who put this show together did not have the rights to Patti Griffin's songs (on which the show is based) until he had her come to see a performance?  Talk about chuztpah!  And talk about luck that she happened to like it enough to write a couple of more songs for it.

I had heard that story too.  However, since the show was announced more than a year ago...  And I also saw Patti Griffin in concert about two years ago, and she mentioned that she had a "Broadway show" in the works.  Who knows?

You are correct, Sir.  They started selling them on Friday.  Alas, there's no employee discount.

Can one simply sashay into the theatre to purchase the LEGALLY BLONDE CD, or do you have to flash a ticket stub or some such thing?

Yes.  The merchandise/refreshment area/lobby is before the ticket-takers.  Also, they are selling them at "walk in" and "walk out" - just look for the young men and women yelling, "Programs! CDs! T-Shirts!" on the sidewalk.  *And the "pre-lobby" at The Palace opens one hour before curtain time for your all your merchandising needs.

Good Morning all.....I'm in the lovely hallowed halls of O'Hare airport at the moment, awaiting my flight to LaGuardia.....

Our fund-raiser programs went very well on the weekend, but I've been having 14 hour work days and I'm very out of touch and "not caught up" here on postings and developments.

Could someone give me the "cliff'snotes" version of happenings here and with BK ??  Has "Brain" been picked up for New York ?

Heading down now to clean up for lunch out with best friend John. He's off for two weeks in the British Isles tomorrow night, so this will be our last lunch for awhile.

We were wondering the same thing.  Then we were trying to remember if he's ever appeared on his show sans shirt, so maybe we just never saw it before.  And up close - and by "up close", I mean just six inches away :) - I think I noticed a couple of other smaller tattoos.  Or it could have just been his perspiration.

Well, you could take the M60 Bus from LGA to 125th and St. Nicholas, then transfer to the A train downtown and get off at Times Square/Port Authority.  -And all for just $2.00!

However, the cab rate is standardized now.  I think.  So... Just make sure to have enough cash on you, if the cab is not equipped with a credit card machine.

However, I think your hotel has a van shuttle.  I'd call if you can.

Hello, DR MusicGuy, and ***TRAVEL VIBES*** to you!

Yes, it looks like the Brain is coming to NYC!

DR Cillaliz is setting up her new office.

DRs George and Cason both have opening nights on Friday this week.

And...the plans are in motion for a mob HHW gathering this weekend!

Those are some of the highlights...   :)

From Dakota:

Quote
I did have a genealogy breakthrough though yesterday... I finally located a bit of info I have been looking for. I have been searching for this bit of info for years....

Now I just need to figure out what county in the LA area he died in. Forest Lawn Cemetery does not have a database on line... Darn!

I know Chester Garner and his wife both died in the LA area, possibly in Thousand Oaks. I was a very happy camper when I found this last night...

Is there something Keith can help you with?  He would need names and dates.

We've talked about the BRIGADOON question before, and I agree with Charles Pogue: the interior sets for me AID the fantasy quality of the piece.

I don't find it a guilty pleasure. I think it's a fine movie. I, too, despair over the omissions of the songs (and Gene Kelly's not-quite-there singing talent for the others), but it's still more than enjoyable.

Clarification, Matt.  It was LAND OF THE PHAROAHS I find a guilty pleasure.  I like BRIGADOON just fine...no embarrassment at all where my afinity for it is concerned.
