And the word of the day is: PALILOGY!

Isn't that the Italian translation of PAL JOEY?  I believe that George has the CD.

...and once The Year of Magical Thinking Closes at the end of August, there will be no plays playing on Broadway.  -Although, last summer wasn't all the much better: The History Boys was the only play on the Rialto for a while.  :-\

And I have to say, the Grease PR machine seems to be in full-swing - which seems sort of late to me, since there was no real buzz the past couple of weeks.  In the past week alone, there have been articles in the Post, Time Out New York, New York Magazine, and now in today's New York Times.  Although, even though all the articles are sort-of interviews, sort-of-analyses, sort-of-puff-pieces, their timing could seem coincidental.  ???

Since it is Sunday, and I am unable to attend services.

THE 23RD QUALM
[/b][/u]

Bush is my shepherd; I dwell in want.

He maketh logs to be cut down in national forests.

He leadeth trucks into the still wilderness.

He restoreth my fears.

He leadeth me in the paths of international disgrace for his ego's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of pollution and war,

I will find no exit, for thou art in office.

Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy media control, they discomfort me.

Thou preparest an agenda of deception in the presence of thy religion.

Thou anointest my head with foreign oil.

My health insurance runneth out.

Surely megalomania and false patriotism shall follow me all the days of
thy term,

And my unemployed son shall live in my basement forever.

DR Julie - Do you know if tonight's peformance of Mufti is sold out?  I really want to go.

Jose - The York theater website says the performance is completely sold out, but my experience with the York and muftis is that if you show up a bit early and are the first to get your name on the waiting list first, more often than not you get in.

I have to be there an hour before performance time in any event.  If you want, when I get there I can inquire about any ticket availability or a waiting list, and if they have one, I can put your name on it, and call you to let you know what they say.  PM me your info if you want to do that.

Hmm... Well, maybe I'll just head over after ACL, and see what's there.  Although, with the "severe weather alert" we're currently under... Hmm...

OH!  That would be wonderful.  Thank You!  -And if I remember from last time, the box office doesn't reopen until 5:30 or 6:00 anyway.  -I remember having to wait a bit to get my ticket for Superman!.  So... PM is on it's way.  :)

Forgive me, FJL, for repeating your PAL JOEY line.  I should have read the posts first.

If I could be guaranteed that it would be Patti's final performance, I might even go.

Please don't take offense, Julie, it was meant as a joke.  Actually, I think Patti is probably quite wonderful as Rose.

Yikes!  I didn't realize it was already this "late".  I have a few things to take care of before my matinee, so...

Laters...

And just what has happened to Rodzinski?  He'd better get his butt cheeks back here - someone let him know he will RUE the day if he doesn't.

The Oregonian's political cartoonist Jack Ohman had a(n) hilarious cartoon this morning of Oscar, the Nursing Home Kitty (complete with hood and scythe) visiting Alberto Gonzales.

Isn't that the Italian translation of PAL JOEY?  I believe that George has the CD.

Sadly, I don't.  But I do have the Italian stage musical version of Mrs. Doubtfire...really, I do!
