DR Jose and I were caught in a big downpour and I arrived home soaking wet.  I've taken a hot bath and I shall now watch my taped episode of PSYCH.  DR Matt H, I wanted to see THE LOOKOUT in the theatres and somehow missed it.  I will Netflix it soon.

DR Jose and I saw THE PEOPLE VS MONA again tonight.  Jim Wann and Patricia Miller were there so I got to visit with them as well as some of the cast and the band afterwards.  I hope they can transfer it with this cast.  The Pasadena production was in 2000 and there are scenes and characters no longer in this wondewrful show, BK.  I see as well it was done by Paul Lazarus and that's a major strike in my book.  The score, cast and band are so wonderful! Someone, BK, should record it.  I think it's got a long life in it.

Since I am not at home to do a media check....

Before I left, I do recall seeing Breakfast Club sitting on top of the VCR.

however, in my car I have Mamma Mia!

Good Evening!

Well, I'm a bit wet too from the rain.  And the hail!  *It was soooo cool - I haven't seen hail in a long time.

And, YES, I had a wonderful time at The People vs. Mona!  Thank you, DR elmore, for "dragging" me along tonight.

And I happened to run into a friend of mine I haven't seen in years.  And, of course, we're basically neighbors!  :)

LOL, I didn't mean that she has to learn I'm not nice, I AM nice... that is how it reads.   No, Nadia doesn't have any experience as a secretary, but I knew that going in. But she's great as an interpreter and wants to learn the rest...plus she's a joy to be around. She makes me laugh.  The "Life is too short to have a grouchy face" is a comment she made when talking about her grouchy cousin.   When I get a little irritated she says "Ok, Priscilla, time to breathe"  it just cracks me up and is exactly what I need.  The rest she can learn...and she has a lot to learn.

As for castor or caster sugar... It's superfine sugar.  Not powdered or confectioner's sugar, but "superfine".  Some grocery stores do carry it - it comes in handy for iced tea and other cold drinks that need to be sweetened.  However, you can also make your own by placing some "regular" granulated sugar in a food processor, and giving it a couple of whirs.  -Just be sure to let the sugar dust settle before opening taking the lid off the bowl.

I hate this season.  I dislike everyone in the house EXCEPT Zach and Jen, who I thought was the worst human being I ever saw in the first two weeks.  Then, I heard her admit (either to Julie or the Diary Room) that she was putting on an act.

I detest Eric!  I despise Dick!  I loathe Jessica!  I think Amber is totally loony tunes, and a liar and a bitch.  I despise her for that act she put on last night when Nick left.  It was Amber who accused Nick of voting for Kail, and it was Amber who suggested that Nick be back-doored when Jameka used the POV to save Jen.   Amber, Eric, Jessica, Daniele, Jameka and Jessica are some of the weakest, lamest players this game has ever had.  Dustin isn't far behind them.  I don't know what's up with Zach...he's pretty much defeated since his alliance bit the dust.  They keep targeting Kail and then back-dooring someone else.  It's time Kail stepped up and did something constructive with the other disenfranchised players...if there ARE any.

Dick is anoter "Cappy" and he and his "bitches" run the house.

I'd hate to see either Dick or Daniele win.  Ditto Dustin or Zach.  I'm not sure about Jameka.

Goodness!!!

Sounds like you have a spy camera on a Community Theatre group.

Oohh!  I guess Lestat will live forever... Or at least for the next five years... With depreciation.  -I just received my Special Payment Funds payment for the recording session (that I did last year).  Ah, Christmas in August.  :)

Money - for Lestat?

Sounds like blood money to me.

Thanks DR Jose. The cake recipe looks great and now that I know what castor/caster sugar is, I just may try to make it.

Busy Sunday. In the morning I have  fundraising brunch to go to, then after that there is Truman Club (you pay a fairly nominal fee to the local democrats and get invited to small gatherings -maybe 30 people-with each of the candidates for President when they come to town) at 1:15 PM with Bill Richardson, then he has a rally (I may skip that) then I'm invited to Nadia's father's birthday party.  Monday noon it's a Truman Club event with Obama.  I have to reschedule something to go to it, but I really want to meet him, so I'll reschedule

Yes, Lazarus was a big problem - it was a tremendously clunky production - and the show just didn't work at that point.  Glad they've fixed it.

Cedilla
Miss Karen won't make a cedilla
And when it looks that way
A c is like a k
To me

Cedilla
Miss Karen poo-poos the cedilla
And everyone in France
Now looks at her askance
Oh, gee

(ode to the tune of "Maria")

Cedilla
Miss Karen eschews the cedilla
And Sandra now in France
Is screaming "Underpants"
Oh wow

Cedilla
Miss Karen forgets the cedilla
And now her pal Fred Landau
Is causing such a grand row
Oh, my

I've been busy this past week or so making compilation CDs of what I think are some of the great songs (non theatre) of the last century.

"Rainy Night in Georgia" should be more widely known. If it had been written in the thirties it would have been a classic.
