Me! Me! My little egg car is most beloved.

It's white and the older design which I think looks like an egg -- mine is a '02 that I got in January of '03 as a protest to the talk of invading Iraq to look for weapons of mass oil consumption -- I know I shouldn't turn a car choice into a political discussion, but that is a true story. Everything DR MusicGuy says about his, I say ditto about mine. It runs like a top and I'm gonna drive it until it falls apart on me. It is the best car I've ever had -- and my favorite (edging out my college days' VW beetle, which come to think of it looked like an egg, too. )

My 2002 was blue. I loved it. I thought it felt like I was driving a little eco-mobile...when I went to my 2005, I felt like I was in a sports car!

DR François - many of our fellow DRs are so young they would not even know the son of Allan Jones.

Well, Faith Prince has funny stories about him! ;)

You're not talking about Tom Jones are you?!

(For a long time, a store here in Paris had placed a copy of The Fantasticks OBC in the Tom Jones Pop Music section! One day, I finally took it and placed it in the Broadway Cast Album Section! Since then, the store has closed for good!)

I had a crazy day. Paul and I ate at a great Chinese restaurant I hadn't been to yet.  Then I dropped my car off at the dealership and we went to a great antique mall where I made a very fun purchase (see below) we went back to get my car and they hadn't started.  Rather than getting mad I said "Oh, you haven't started, do you know how long it will be?"   The service manager chuckled and said "We can start right away, if you'll just give us the keys"   Oh man....so I left the keys and we took off for awhile and got the car later.

Here's my purchase....it's brand new in the box. I paid a whopping $5.00 for it. I can't wait to start making whoville waffles!

No word yet from DR SingSong on the shores of NJ. (Perhaps he has encountered DtM on the beach and they are both being serenaded by Pedro).

Pedro fishes whilst Allan serenades his mule. (Jack is probably still on the Love Boat)

Ohh...

And would there be the possibility of a HHW Brunch on Monday, October 1?  Depending upon when everyone is heading out.

Yes for us...we head out early evening.

Thank you for the Dog Bosco vibes. I called the vet clinic and they said I could pick up the pooch at 5:45 in the PM. He is currently still out cold.

Of course DR Michael Barnum, but Jack Jones would be too young for your interest.

I chatted with a gal who I will soon be interviewing and it turns out she had worked with my friend Laurie Mitchell back in the 50s or 60s in a play titled 5TH SEASON which played LA and San Francisco.

They both had such fond memories of each other that I reunited the two and they will have lunch together this Wednesday.

Am I the only one here to long for a "centerfold" of Cason in his Cabaret-MC outfit?
No, you're not!
Maybe Cason could fly to Paris following his fifteen minutes in Pittsburgh.

I picked up a fantastic CD of THE BEST OF THE BOB CREWE GENERATION...is is a beautiful album!! I highly recommend it to those who enjoy easy listening music from the 1960s.

And of course Bob Crewe, among his many accomplishments, once dated (at least for a magazine layout) Miss June Kenney.

I believe this album would appeal most to JRand56 and Rodzinski.
