I'm just listening to bossa nova - I've been on such a bossa nova tear it's not even funny.  Listening to the classic Getz/Gilberto albums right now, having just finished a fun sampler of a lot of music I didn't know.

While looking for lyme disease I saw an article that said grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs.  I didn't know that

They'll be here for three days.  And from the sides and music (hint) they sent me, it looks like all roles are open.

Hmmmmm...

Why no movies, TCB?

Sorry, I have been gone most of the afternoon.  The only reason I decided to leave out movies is that there are so many pockets of interest in films, that I think we have all, at one time or another, stumbled into a move that wasn't our cup of tea.

Of course, if we had stuck to tea, we wouldn't have stumbled at all.

I have no urge to see ROLLER DERBY, nor do I understand its contant obsession on this site.

I was not aware that the show had ever been mentioned at this site before.  I certainly am unfamiliar with it.

I will add "J C Superstar" to my list.
I saw it in London in 1973.  I was very underwhelmed.
(I much preferred "Godspell")

It WAS mentioned at a Joe Allen dinner - but I agree, not sure it's ever been mentioned on the site until today.

I later worked with the young actor who portrayed Max' tragic one-night stand, who also was very unhappy with the production

I am sure that he was much happier with your one-night stand!

I am looking forward to the movie HOT FUZZ tonight. I hope my expectations aren't too high. My ex-partner called me this afternoon to chitchat, and I casually mentioned I was going to watch it tonight, and he said he loved it, too.

So, I don't think I've heard a single negative comment about this movie.

Then you haven't read the review in last week's Entertainment Weekly, DVD Section

Enjoying my afternoon off.  I have just been lazing around my apartment today - the Bukowsical group is supposedly going out to dinner tonight (in lieu of an opening night party last night).  I just haven't been able to work up the urge to go out with them since I came back here and relaxed.

Lord...you wouldn't think I was a 21-year old in NYC, would you?

Perhaps you should try the Reservoir at Central Park?

Dancing is NOT an option under those circumstances.  Mirrors are so unkind.

You can get those mirrors from the carnival that make you appear taller!

Thank you Jose & Cilla.  I spoke to her again & the specialists said not to be concerned about the cracked vertebrae, it isn’t what is causing the back pain.  She has been rescheduled for the ultra-sound tomorrow morning.

Jose I made the blintzes, my mother-in-law’s recipe.  I like them with jam, today it was plum/blackberry preserves.

While hiking this morning Sherlock ran straight through my ankle & down I wait.  It took awhile before I could walk on it, but then it seemed to be only slightly twisted.  After walking around town I’m a bit concerned it is sprained.  This is the same ankle that has suffered a severe sprain in the past & a hair line fracture.  I’m currently wearing the special boot I wore after the fracture.

Break time is over, bye.

It's the slighter less chunky look I'd prefer.  Height challenged is not a problem. I see eye to eye with Ben and Ant.
